A walk not to be missed. A triffle over crowded in the huts but thats just a factor of how great the walk is. WE had great weather which meant great views down the Hollyford valley and across to the mountains

Stunning 3 day hike. We used "infotrack" out of queenstown for transport to and from the track. The hike was absolutely beautiful and in great condition. We stayed in the huts, rather than camping. The first night, the Routeburn falls hut, and the 2nd night, the Lake McKenzie hut. The staff at the huts were great. The huts were very...

We hiked about halfway in from both ends of the Routeburn. It was an easy hike for us, but we do a lot of hiking and cycling. Trails are extremely maintained. Views were spectacular. I wouldn't spend a day to hike it if the cloud ceiling is low. You can't see anything once you get up into the clouds

OK, so it rains a lot in NZ. Big deal. Eight of us yanks hiked the Routeburn on a 4 day, 3 night tramp. It rained two of those days but we still had a wonderful time. We dawdled the first day and stayed at Routeburn Flats, an easy short walk. The Ranger here is very knowledgeable and he took...

We highly recommend using Trackhopper if you're looking to relocate your car from one end to the other of the Routeburn Track. Mike (Michael Stone) was friendly and professional, and we appreciated the little note Mike and Kiyomi left in our car for us :). We especially appreciated that Mike filled out a proper receipt for us when we handed...

we hiked for 2 hours, and got to the first hut, which said it would take us 45 minutes, mind you it was straight up, but gorgeous once you get up there.

Loved this hike - pretty strenuous climb, although it took us less time than that predicted to make it up to the Key Summit from the Milford Road. Enjoyed the hike and the view.

As for all the fiordland Walks - be prepared for heavy rain and you will have a wonderful walk! The views on the second day are really stunning.
You can make it in 3 days - go for 4 days if you want to do the side branch next to Routeburn Flats Hut. But this one might not be accessible...

We recently hiked the Routeburn Track with our guide Dean through Ultimate Hikes. It was one of my favorite hikes with a fantastic diversity of terrain and some exotic bird sightings. Great coffee/tea on the way out and excellent lunch at the overnight facilities at the top (which are very nice). Sand flies were a little annoying at the parking...

You can not escape the breathtaking views on this walk. Exceptional!!
I have lived in Te Anau for most of my life and this is my favorite, shorter days and the best variety of tramping and sights. A close second is the Kepler only held back by the steep incline up to the luxmore hut and steep decline down to...
