We hiked about halfway in from both ends of the Routeburn. It was an easy hike for us, but we do a lot of hiking and cycling. Trails are extremely maintained. Views were spectacular. As for all the fiordland Walks - be prepared for heavy rain and you will have a wonderful walk! The views on the second day are really stunning. You can make it in 3 days - go for 4 days if you want to do the side branch next to Routeburn Flats Hut. But this one might not be accessible... More
