We did two one-day walks on the Routeburn. From the divide up to key summit and back, and from glenorchy up to harris saddle and back. The former is an easy part-day walk, the latter a full day. Both were excellent. Beautiful views. If you can only do one, choose by your level of fitness; if you can do a... More

We've walked here a few times and every time is amazing~ well maintained track, stunning forest, the freshest air. We walked to the waterfall and back. Beautiful. Some time we'll walk the whole thing...

We are locals living not too far from the Routeburn Track and this track was a first for us. We started at the Routeburn Shelter and walked through to the Divide staying at the Falls, Mckenzie & Howden huts along the way. Amazing breathtaking scenery along the way which makes us so proud to have this on our doorstep...as Kiwis... More

Great track with beautiful variety of Rain forest and alpine views. Routeburn has a easy first day to the Routeburn Falls Hut and a little tougher day to McKenzie Lake hut on day 2, day 3 to Divide is medium difficulty. For a experienced tramper/backpakcer this is relatively easy Track and the Huts are super nice with gas cooking and... More

The Routeburn Track was an amazing experience we will never forget. We had wonderful weather and could enjoy stunning panoramic views - one of the best walks ever. As the starting and ending points of the track are more than 300 km apart by car, we were very happy to have our car relocated by Easyhike. The relocation procedure was... More

We went to New Zealand last week where with a group of friends, completed both the Routeburn and Kepler Tracks. "The Routie" won amongst all of our group as being the favorite. We started at the Routeburn shelter and finished at the Divide. What made this so easy for us was using a van transport service to move our vehicle... More

Beautiful, mildly challenging hiking with spectacular views. Booked for camping but upgraded to Routeburn Flats hut on first night as it was raining which was no problem as there was space. Would really recommend the car relocation service with easyhike.co.nz which worked out at around the same price as the bus for two. It was super handy to have our... More

As part of an 11 day South Island small group guided hiking tour with New Zealand Trails we explored the first 4 miles of the track to Routeburn Flats as a day hike. The beautiful old beech forest is a vibrant green with numerous fern, mosses and lichens softening everything. Our guide Richard was very knowledgable and pointed out the unique... More

Incredible scenery - we were on our honeymoon and enjoyed the camp sites as it was much quieter and private - the huts looked awesome but full of people! You need to have good fitness to carry a large pack with tent and everything however, as there are some steep parts to the track. An absolute must is to use... More

We booked our Routeburn Track hike about 6 months in advance in order to secure the huts we wanted (although, even 6 months ahead, some huts were fully booked, forcing us to stay in Routeburn Flats instead of Routeburn Falls hut). The route is about 32 km, with the highest peak at Saddle Point, about 1200 m. There are four... More
