The Routeburn Track has been on my to-do list for quite some time - and I have to say - it was everything we hoped for and more. We had the most incredible time and have some beautiful photos. We were a group of 5 people so we wanted to use our own car for transport. We drove to the... More

This is one of the many "Great Walks" in New Zealand. A good proportion of this 32km tramp is alpine which makes for great views, the weather was reasonably kind to us but even with a bit of cloud/fog deep in the valleys below us the grandeur was still spectacular. The best part for us was between Routeburn Falls hut... More

We recently walked the Routeburn track and loved it. Thank the gods the weather was perfect and managed to hike the Conical for spectacular views as well. Accommodation in the huts were clean and cosy with the Rangers being welcoming and informative of the area. Would also like to thank Easyhike for relocating our car to the end of the... More

Excellent short term hike and a great way to see the inner landscape of New Zealand. Do the side track of the "Summit". Although it is recommended for a 2-3 night stay along this track, for experienced walkers/trekkers this can be in two days - I would recommend a stay at one of the huts to gain the true outdoor... Truly a great walk whith wonderful views and scenery and beautiful campgrounds (as always) thanks to the great efforts of the DOC. Conical Hill is worth the effort. We walked from Routeburn Shelter to The Divide, which we think was a good choice considering the sequence of the walks fascinating features and elevation. Transport is something to think of way... My husband and I had a fabulous day trip on the Routeburn, from the Glenorchy side (Routeburn Shelter) ending at The Divide (Milford side). Most people think you have to take 2 to 4 days to do the Routeburn -- and this is what the brochures from the Department of Conservation recommend -- and that you need a guide. But... More

One of the most outstanding outdoors experiences in my 62 years. Scenery compares favorably to the North Cascades in Washington State, USA. The difference is that the DOC "huts" really make the trip comfortable because you always have a warm and dry place to spend the night. If you happen to be there when the weather is dry and cloudless,... More

Track is awesome. If you're camping, the first day is disproportionately short and consequently it trickles into longer days afterwards. Aside from that, truly great hike. Don't forget this track is NOT a loop, which means you need a car hire service to bring your car from one end to the other, unless you're using a shuttle service, but frankly... More

We were really disorganised booking our Routbourn trek and didn't realise how busy it would be in February with Chinese New Year and the cricket! Was a beautiful 2 day hike made super easy by using Easy Hike to relocate our car! Easy hike were brilliant finding us a last minute driver and giving us car hire information (we got... More

Amazingly beautiful walk. The huts are great walk standard, I specially liked the Routeburn Falls hut. Lots of rain on the third day, so I was really happy to find my car relocated by Easyhike, to change into dry clothes, turn the heater on and drive on to my next destination!
