One of the most well preserved and beautiful natural areas on earth. Try to go during the spring and summer months so that the area will be accessible to you.

Awesome & spectacular scenery. Enjoyed the 4.5 hr bus ride down from Queenstown, but the trip back was very tiring. (can't be helped - they need a blast through the mountains to make it closer!!)

We took a lunch boat cruise and thought it was well worth the price. The drive to Milford Sound from Te Anau is quite scenic and has many interesting stops along the way. Glad we drove rather than taking the bus.
