Visiting in the rain (which happens very frequently), the Milford Road is breathtaking with waterfalls. The beauty of this place is awe-inspiring, from the moment you enter the park to your boat tour of Milford Sound. Everyone on earth should be lucky enough to see this treasure. more
The scenery on the drive from Te Anau to Milford Sound is breathtaking. Milford Sound is spiritual and again the scenery is awesome. We stayed overnight on Milford Sound in a small boat called the Friendship. We played with dolphins, saw seals and went kayaking first thing in the morning. An unforgettable experience. more
The morning of the 2nd, we woke up a little later than planned due to some tired bones and started out around 8:00am. The journey began with a short 15-minute shuttle ride to the beginning of the Kepler Track, another of New Zealand's Great Walks. This park is absolutely amazing! Words cannot desribe the beauty. It was rainy and cold the day we were there and that still did not take away from the experience. I highly recommend the boat tour through the Fjords! more
