We went to Milford Sound with Go Milford today 16 April. Our driver was Reece, what a lovely man. Full of interesting information, friendly, personable but not over the top like so many tours we have been on where the guide talks all about himself and forgets just why they are there. Reece is fun, kind, knowledgeable and polite. The... More

We were lucky to have a sunny day and enjoyed a wonderful cruise. Breathtaking scenery. The cruise was very professionally run, all went smoothly and at a relaxed pace. The supplied picnic lunch was delicious - varied and generous. We enjoyed the time at the Underwater Discovery Centre. We also enjoyed the commentary.

Loved the tour. From check in to the end of the tour there were no problems. A very smooth sailing experience!

We were very fortunate on the day of our tour that we had a completely cloudless sky. We were on a small boat so we were able to get our hair wet under the fairy falls and one of the bigger ones as well. Views of the sound were absolutely breath taking and although it was cold, it was one... More

We drove to Milford on our own and took the 1300 Nature Cruse. The boat used is the smallest inn the fleet and go some places the larger boats can't. We also did the optional stop at the Underwater Observatory. We had been told the cruise was fully booked but if so it didn't seem like it at all. We... More

We took the tour from our motel in Te Anau instead of driving a hire car. Driver was relaxed, informative and stopped at everything worth seeing. The scenery is outstanding which i would have missed if i had been driving. The Milford Sound Cruise was equally outstanding. I am normally sceptical about tours like this but this one is value... My husband and I booked our trip to Milford Sound with Southern Discoveries. From the time we were pick up by the coach driver, to our returning trip we had great time. He was just providing all of us with historical and information along the way that we weren't aware. The cruise ship was clean and on board staff were... More

For three days previous to our visit to Te Anau there had been snow, rain, low skies and general greyness. We were already booked on the Discovery Tour so crossed our fingers and went down to reception. Denis drove the coach up, 12 of us got on and had an outstanding trip. Blue skies, hot sun and unbelievable scenery. A... More

Setting off from Te Anau at 7a.m. In the drizzle with low cloud we were glad we had not booked a cruise as we felt this would be a wet and miserable experience and a waste of money. However, when crossing The Divide the clouds lifted and we felt optimistic. We chose the 2.25 hr Nature Encounter from Southern Discoveries... More
