This Cinema is quaint and we loved the bar on the side where we enjoyed some wonderful appetizers laid out on specially carved wood boards. They show special films and also regular shows I noticed. We were there to see Shadowland. I would highly recommend the stunning 30 minute short film "Ata Whenua - Shadowland" if you would enjoy a... More

The Ata Whenua film at this cinema is terrific. It was filmed by the same guys that filmed for LOTR and The Hobbit, so you just know it is going to be great. In this short film (about 30 minutes) you see the beauty of Fiordland by helicopter from the comfort of a luxury seat. There is no commentary, just... More

If you do nothing else whilst in Te Anau, go and see this stunning 30 minute film, with a glass of wine in hand. The film is an incredible visual journey through one of the most awe inspiring landscapes on earth, with truly memorable helicopter shots of terrain you would otherwise be unable to see.

The best way to describe the movie is that it's like watching contemporary art. There are long shots of closeups of feathers and rocks, occasionally bizarre music, and a large segment showing a helicopter flying around. We only went because it was nasty weather and we couldn't make it to Milford Sound at all. I don't think the movie is... More

This amazing documentary on Fiordland is well worth seeing. The footage taken from a helicopter will show you scenery inaccessible to most. The film runs every hour during the day.

We loved the footage of Milford Sound. All the better for no commentary and overload of information. It is a true tribute to the national park and more than worth the fee!

We were out on a long walk during our stay in TE Anau and bumped into a gentleman who was cleaning weasel traps. Being the nice nature of Kiwi he asked us about our trip and inquired whether or not we had been to the cinema in town. We had not. he urged we make the trek back through town... More

If you're not going to take a helicopter ride this is worth it. Nice little bar to wait in. Film goes round and round so your can have a drink while you wait for your turn. Comfortable seats and you can take your drink in with you. I am glad we went but its I never going to be the... More
