Had a fantastic trip around doubtful sound. Hardly no one else around besides seals and dolphins. Great staff and nice boat. We enjoyed the trip because we where able to relax and experience the beauty of the fiord. The trip also included a kayak trip and a swim around the boat. Great.

We experienced Milford Sound in the rain and it was better than we could have imagined. Our cruise left at 4:30 in the afternoon and came back in around 9:30am the next morning. The drive to Milford sound took about 3 hours from te Anau, but you want more because you want to make a few stops including Mirror Lake... More

We paid 355$ p.p. for the 4 persons room. The boat was great, not too big, and the captain drove smoothly. Our cabin was clean, bathrooms and toilets were neat and clean, warm showers. First day we did activities such as kayaking which was super fun, and was followed by warm soup which tasted amazing. Dinner was absolutely impeccable, followed... More

The day started sunny, and our personal guide took us in his mini bus from Te Anau to Te Anau Downs. Good views of the snowy mountains on the way there. We then got on the boat (together with lots of real hickers) to the start point of the Milford Track. Its a big boat so the crossing was smooth.... More

The Real Journeys staff were friendly and efficient - we ordered the lunch pack up and that was generous and good. The trip involves a short cruise across Lake Manapouri, a coach ride over Wilmot Pass (complete with knowledgeable commentary from the driver) then a cruise along Doubtful Sound. Both cruises have commentary which is interesting but not excessive. On... More

Did doubtful sound overnight cruise. They start with a short cruise, then coach over Wilmot Pass to Deep Cove (a lot of mosquitoes there) where you'll board the Fiordland Navigator. And the food they served are not too bad on the cruise. My husband did some kayaking & swimming. This is my first time taking a cruise, so I'm not... More

A week away on Milford Wanderer (a 30m purpose built ship) in a magic part of New Zealand, hidden away and full of treasures. On one hand, every Kiwi should see it, but actually it needs to be our best kept secret. The Real Journey team were friendly, competent and loved their work. They have the best office :) We... More

We did both Doubtful and Milford Sounds. Both were breathtaking experiences. We stayed overnight on Doubtful and this was by far the best. Service on board was excellent, informative, the food and choices yum. May look expensive at first but taking all what you get, worth it. The bus trip to Milford was a great choice. We were self driving... More

I would highly recommend the 2.5 hour cruise aboard the Milford Mariner on the Milford Sound. In outward appearances, this relatively new vessel was far more impressive-looking than some of the other boats that were berthed in the marina. Located just behind the cruise terminal, there were approximately 10 different vessels of various shapes and sizes. The Milford Mariner was... More

Did the tour to the glow worm cave which really exceeded our expectations. Really informative with a lovely guide and plenty of time spent looking at the glow worms. Would definitely recommend.
