Total respect and professionalsim shown by all Real Journey staff onboard that day during the transport of my late mothers casket to the Island. A terrific and interesting commentary from time to time over the PA by crew member Larice. Wonderful adlibbing when various seabirds and vessels of interest appeared.

The ferry service seems to be very efficient. The boat itself is comfortable and there is a small cafe on board. We were lucky that we had good crossings both ways and so the hour went quite quickly.

I would have liked the PA system to work better outside, and...

It is a short trip but be prepared for it be be rough for about a 1/4 of the trip. Not always, sometimes it can be really nice, but when it gets rough its rough.
saying that, A trip to stewart island is worth the ferry ride...

Another great example of what an excellent business Real Journeys is. It was clear that the trip was going to be tough- very big seas and strong winds but the boat handled it very well with a skillful skipper at the helm. Staff were fantastic helping those customers that felt unwell. All arrived safe and sound across a well known...
