We did this tour yesterday and it was amazing - it's 35 minutes to fly into Milford Sound from Queenstown with great commentary by the pilot throughout the flight and he takes the airplane to get near sights so you can photograph or video the amazing views. Flying over the Milford Sound is a memorable experience. It takes only 35 min one way to be mesmerized! It was so beautiful that I forgot to be scared of flying. Thank you very much to our pilot Hank. More

We recently took the option to fly from Milford Sound to Queenstown with Air Milford and the trip was nothing short of amazing, great people to fly with and the trip. Take a camera and enjoy the views of the vast ranges and mountain views. More

What a great trip. OK, so it's more expensive that one of the many coach-cruise-coach options but the flight is spectacular and Hank, our pilot, gave an excellent commentary and made sure that we all got the best possible view of the scenery below. Congratulations to Air Milford for providing a stunning flight to Milford Sound and a lovely cruize on the Sound. Staff were incredible, welcoming and enthusiasic. Well worth the money. I would rate this No.1 activity for Queenstown More

“Breathtaking views-definitely worth the trip to Milford Sound by Air”

We did the fly, cruise, fly trip to Milford Sound. The pilot was very informative and professional. We saw the most beautiful views from both the flights and cruise. This is a must see if you go to Queenstown. It was quite expensive, but worth the investment. More

We flew from Queenstown to Milfoxrd Sound, cruised the Sound (technically a fiord) then flew back. Air Milford was recommended by our fishing guide as they are the only one to have a larger, fixed wing plane with the engine in front. We spent eight exhilarating days in the South Island and the fly/sail/fly to Milford was the dead set stand-out. Of course a lot depends on the weather in these parts and we struck it lucky.
