Our group took the gondola up and hiked to the saddle. Views all the way up were beautiful, with new sights appearing as we ascended. Bring a raincoat as it's windy at the top.

The walk from the gondola area was very steep, it starts under tree cover but you are quickly in direct sunlight. In January the temp was high, so dress appropriately.

If you like to walk: there is the chance to see QT from above on the Ben Lomond. You won't be alone though even if you have passed all the touristic attractions...

Loved the ruggedness of the walk, quite challenging for the kids, waterfalls, uphill, downhill, sloppy, scary, ran out of arrows, water pipes, mountain bikers... So much fun x

The trail is actually really well marked just a little steep. People have become lost after starting too late in the day and poor weather coming in so plan ahead. Take plenty of water as there is none available on the route as well as a good jacket as even on a fine day it i far cooler at the... More

You need to do Ben Lomond Walkway if you enjoy hiking and spectacular views. We started at the base of the gondola, and after nearly 3 hours of consistent uphill we had reached the summit. It was definitely worth the effort! For those in not as good of shape, you can ride the gondola up to save yourself some time.... More

Nice easy hike above the lake. Great views. Somewhat commercial with the luge track, etc, but the hike leaves the commercial area quickly. A bit expensive to get up there though via gondola.

This is quite a tough climb and had initially though about turning round once we reached the saddle (a flat bit before a steep climb to the summit) but having made in that far, there is only one way to go and that's up! There are some delightful vistas in the early part of the ascent. Paths are well marked... More

If you are a seasoned hiker or crave a challenge, you will become one with the mountain during this enjoyable uphill workout. Don't let the steep, dark trails of the forest fool you, when you emerge into the welcoming sunny fields, you will be committed to making it to the summit. The views only get better as you ascend up... More
