After much disagreement my family and I decided to do something that was out of our comfort zone and we had not done together since we were young kids, so we did what we guessed was a medium length trek. It was quite a surprise to find a spot so secluded we would never have found it ourselves and so... More

I did my trek today at 10am. Great trek with a lovely French girl called Fanny and beautiful views. However what I'm really happy about is that it's a non profit organisation and any profit goes to breast cancer New Zealand. Fair play to the owner Dave Black!

We camped at Moke Lake and did the 2 hour trek at 930. It was very cold that early so rug up. Staff were great. We are beginner horse riders but would have been good to try trotting etc, this particular trek is more about the views than horse skills. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it for the... Went on the 930 ride this morning for my birthday. Despite the hail and rain at the start it was a enjoyable ride. The staff were lovely foreign girls who told us some interesting facts along the way. Got to have a trot at the end if you wanted to. Was quite cold. Make sure you rug up!

We were 2 girls who never did horse riding before. Clear instructions were given in the beginning and our guide, Jenny, patiently rode with us and provided information on the landscape and animals along the way. The scenery was so beautiful! We were so glad that we could ride in such a magnificent private property.

Loved the trek, especially because of the amazing scenery. The guide was lovely but I (as an experienced rider) found it a bit strange that she led a beginner fall behind so that the others could trot and canter. The lady said she was comfortable with it, but I would have handled that differently. Horses were lovely, although mine got... More

Everything about this trek was phenomenal. I have ridden horses in the past but am far from experienced. My guide, Keri, provided all the beginner instructions but also built on the knowledge and confidence I already had. The ride around Moke Lake and into the valley behind was stunning! Beautiful mountains, crystal clear streams and a dazzling lake backdrop. Keri... More

I am an experienced rider and my hubby is a beginner and he was bored. What a waste of two hours in the adventure capital of the world. All the horses are so so bored with the usual routine that you can literally let the reigns go and just join the carousel ride home. Suggest you try another company because... More

The place is wonderful, the staff are awesome, young horse loving people who are eager to please, it's obvious they love NZ and horses , they set the trek up for all types of riders, from those who have never ridden to this that have, loved it. My advice DO IT
