We had a great time at Brennan Wines. The cellar door has a warm, wood burning fire place. The wine maker walked us through his entire line of reds and whites describing every last detail down to the soil/mineral content of the vineyard. One of their Pinot Noir's won International Wine of the Year, so if you get the chance... More

Best Pinot in the valley I brought their 08 reserve and will be back. Can see a beautiful picnic area in summer enjoying the sun, vines and views

this was one of the stops as part of a wine tour. It was winter/srping when I went (September 2010) so the vines were still bare :( I am sure I would enjoy the outdoors more if it was summer. Still enjoyed the wine!

We called in here driving from Wanaka to Queenstown. It looked to be a good day on the mountains, so was quiet at the wineyards; I think we must have been among the few visitors all day. There was a lovely fire going and our hostess was friendly and very knowledgable about the wines. No fee for tasting. The wine... More

It was a cold rainy day in Queenstown so we ventured to the Gibbston Valley to try tastings at a few wineries. The last one being Brennan's. Dave conducted the tasting and was very professional and informative. We enjoyed the ambiance of the place so much that we relaxed in front of the open fire with a nice bottle we... More

I probably shouldn't review Brennans because it would be great to keep it our special find of our trip to Otago. In fact, in my research back home, it didn't appear on the radar. We found Brennans via other local winemakers who said we should visit. That's a great recommendation. This was one of the few wineries visited that had... More

This was the nicest winery we visited in the Queenstown region during our trip. It's nestled amongst the mountains away from the road and the picnic tables are surrounded by vines. We had a toddler with us so appreciated the open grass, petanque gravel and toy basket which was inside the tasting room. The platter was amazing, by far the... More
