Thanks to Neil who took me out climbing last week. It rounded off my four days in Queenstown perfectly. Climbed 7 routes and reminded myself that real rock is where it's at! Being a relatively frequent indoor climber back home in the UK I found Neil's instruction and coaching perfectly matched to my ability whilst still being able to have... More

Spent the morning doing Via Ferrata on the cliffs above Queenstown. Basically, there are a series of metal steps and handholds attached directly to the rock. You climb up these whilst always knowing you are safely attached to an adjcent steel wire by your harness. Progress up the cliff is rapid and the exposure is at times fantastic! I recommend... More

I could never have climbed as high as I did without the professional and friendly guide who made the experience very safe and enjoyable. More

If you like to move under your own power you need to try out the Via Ferrata or the climbing experience! The guides were excellent and you don't need any climbing experience to do the Via Ferrata. You will definitely feel a sense of accomplishment when you reach the top for great views! More

Had a great time climbing. Even beat my fiance with climbing which always makes me happy. The staff is awesome and super nice. Would go back in a heartbeat. More

I opted to do the via ferrata climb. This is the climb using rungs set in the side of the cliff. Can I say that I am terrified of heights so this was always going to be a challenge. Rupert the guide was fantastic. We were all novices so he gave us a briefing and we were away. My hands... More

We spent a half day rock climbing with our guide Jess. We completed 6 routes each and found ourselves stretched to our limits but hugely satisfied when we completed each route. The scenery was exquisite and Jess was an excellent coach. I would thoroughly recommend this trip to anyone who loves the outdoors. More

After deciding to get over my fear of heights and having never been rock climbing before I signed up for the Via Ferrata. It was an awesome experience. My guide Rose was very patient, supportive and encouraging. The Via Ferrata is great for someone like me who has never climbed. It was a fantastic afternoon out and I would recommend... More

Had an excellent climbing trip with our guide Rose and the others in our group. It was my first time to try anything like this and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I really liked how everyone was involved with belaying and safety for the others in the group. I found rock climbing to be a really enjoyable outdoor activity and would... More

If you're like me and have never tried rock climbing, then the Via Ferrata is a great introduction. Iron rungs are fixed into the rock wall for you to attach yourself too, and Rose, our excellent guide, picked out the best route for our abilities from the wide variety of routes they have. All the climbing and safety equipment is... More
