First of all, the guides were awesome! They make you feel super safe and have fun doing things along with you. We ended up doing a half day trip but would've gone back to do the full day trip if we had the time. The trip includes zip lines, absails and jumps off waterfalls as well as short walks through... My husband and I went on the half day canyoning trip last week and we had a great time! We ve been canyoning before and we both thought this one was much better. It was more fun, it had more varieties and it wasn't very physically demanding. The guides were fantastic. Very energetic and supportive! I had trouble jumping off... More

This is a great trip if you're into adventure. You get to do some trekking, flying fox, abseiling down the rocks, swimming in the river, sliding down natural water falls... etc. After having all the amazing food in Queenstown, this is really a good full body workout to burn away those fats. :P The guides were experienced and fun too.... I chose to go on the half day trip because I hadn't done canyoning before and I wasn't sure if I'd like it or maybe get too cold in the water. Instead we were so active there wasn't a moment to get cold! The trip was run by two guides who both had a great sense of humour but who... More

Never gave canyoning any time because i did not understand what was involved. After getting a bit of information about it we decided to give it a go on our spare day in Queenstown. Booked through the website for The Routeburn track. Self drive option. Please note that it is about a 50 minute drive from central Queenstown to Glenorchy.... More

My sister and I went canyoning for a half day in Queenstown in February, and it was the best time! First we got prepped with all the gear you need; wetsuits and boots, harnesses and helmets, and we set out to the canyon. They had a safety speech before we set out up the hill. First we did 4 zip... I went canyoning twice during my time in Queenstown. On the 12mile and Routebourn canyons, both times the guides where fun and informative. While all the time I felt safe and encouraged to try things like jumps (that I wouldn't have done on my own). At the same price as most popular activities in Queenstown a half day canyoning is... I think the Routeburn Canyoning trip is one of the best adventures Queenstown has to offer. For those looking for some action jumping, sliding, and rappelling your way down a narrow, cascading gorge, look no further. The setting couldn't get better and the activities were great. However, I was a little bit disappointed by the larger amount of safety and... More

This was the most fun overall experience I had in New Zealand! I had never even heard of canyoning, but consider me converted!
