We went with the Walter peak cruise and buffet dinner option. The cruise was amazing with great views the whole way and plenty of photo opportunities. Just a little concerning the amount of pollutants the ship releases into the atmosphere. The BBQ dinner at Walter peak farm was great along with the farm show afterward. The farm itself was also... We had booked a trip on the TSS Earnslaw to take us to Walter Peak Station for Christmas dinner. The whole experience was fantastic. The staff were very friendly even though it was evident they were extremely busy. Food was more than plentiful and absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend to anyone travelling to Queenstown.

Great cruise to Walter Peak Farm. the dinner was delicious and offered a variety of foods. It wa a buffet so you could pick and choose and eat as much as you liked. The program after dinner was sheep shearing and actual dog sheep working which was wonderful to see.

This vintage steamship is worth seeing and travelling on. The evening cruise took us across Lake Wakitipu to Walter Peak Station where we had an unbelievable gourmet barbeque dinner. After dinner we were entertained by a sheep dog rounding up sheep and also by a shearer shearing one of the sheep. On the return trip on the steamship there was... More

The trip out on and back on the TSS Earnslaw was ok. Some people enjoyed the entertainment which is great, just not my cup of tea. The Walter Peak dining area is very nice, much better than I expected. Service was very good which isn't always the case with a buffet. The buffet was very good with lots of items... More

This was an evening cruise & included dinner at Walter Peak an old sheep station which now serves evening shows for the tourists. Pulling up at their jetty the sight is magnificent a well tended garden, could have been an English country house in the early 1900's.The food was good & plentiful & there was a sheepdog & sheep shearing... The steamer leaves from Queenstown wharf early evening and you steam across the lake to Walter's Peak homestead. The dining room is gorgeous - it is a beautiful old homestead with antique furniture. The buffet meal is sumptuous - plenty of seafood, meats & lovely desserts. After dinner you go outside to watch a sheepdog rounding up sheep. We had... More

The steamship trip across was a nice novelty - you can wander around and see every nook and cranny of this amazing ship. Watching the stokers work is definitely a sight! The Walter Peak colonial homestead is simply beautiful - the gardens are very pretty cottage gardens, the lake is a stone's throw from the house, and the interior is... More

Took the dinner cruise to Walter Peak Station, on the TSS Earnslaw. The cruise was great, the BBQ buffet dinner was first class. Returning across the lake at night to the lights of Queenstown was something I will always remember. If I ever return to Queenstown, repeating this evening dinner cruise will be an absolute must. An added attraction was... More
