stayed for a whole afternoon

rose garden, lawn benches, lake pebble beach, oxygen woods. it is an ideal place to spend a sunny, leisure afternoon all by one's self, reading or taking a random walk.

Pick up some frisbees (disc's) from one of the local sports shops down town and head into the gardens for a game of disc golf. All you need is some time, a disc and a sense of fun. It's free and a great way to spend a couple of hours. Instructions on the info board at the beginning of the... More

These gardens are easily reached being 10 to 15 minutes away at east end of Marine Parade - Eichardt's hotel end -which runs along edge of L Wakatipu in Queenstown Bay. Its really at the start of the Frankton arm where the ship TSS Earnslaw is rested over the Queenstown "off season" They are not a large garden but its... More

The garden is very well tended and the water displayes are beautiful. They is a ice skating rink at the back which is a good size And at night there are ice hockey games which is fun to go watch.

This lovely garden is located right on the waters edge which juts out into the lake. The gardens are serene and restful but also a great place for a run.

If you are looking for a lovely place to take a stroll or a brisk walk with wonderful vistas of Queenstown, the lake and the mountain ranges, the Queenstown Gardens is definitely where to go. An easy 5 minute walk from the wharf area on a well tracked pathway suitable for prams, watch out for the occasional segway group passing... More

We had a great time in these gardens playing Frisbee Golf, they have relaid the course and more of it is through the trees but was good fun. There are several shops that hire frisbees the nearest one being Queenstown watersports for $5 each/day. There is a great cafe by the lake to enjoy after the course.

We walked through Queenstown Gardens today, it is a lovely big park/reserve but we probably didn't see it at its summer best. The roses where pruned back for winter and I imagine would be stunning in summer. It is a lovely big area preserved for the public to enjoy.

We walked around the lake edge on a very cold morning, however we were so pleased that we did. The views were spectacular, and to see different aspects of the lake was a treat. It would be amazing when all the roses are in bloom. A very relaxing easy walk.

It is better go there after sun down, less crowded and more peaceful. good for walk or jogging. or just sit there to feel the view.
