There are so many magnificent old trees, they included several types of Oak, Monkey Puzzle, huge Wellingtonia and many Douglas fir. It is a beautiful walk under the canopy on a hot summer afternoon.

I came here in January. There were many pretty roses and other flowers in full bloom. There were also little man-made ponds with birds. It's worth checking out and it won't take much time. I would say it is quite a peaceful place. It's not very crowded either.

Lovely garden but could walk round in a relatively short space of time. There are longer waterfront walks if you want to go a little further. The frisbee golf looked like fun. The native plants and rose gardens were well set out but no fish seen in the lily pond.

My fiancé and I walked around here and Queenstown for 4 hours, at no stage did we see rubbish on the ground, or did we feel unsafe, even on dusk. The walk way is well lite up and the garden is located close to food and drink locations.

It was an amazing walk. Spend a whole afternoon just roaming this beautiful garden. Just lie under some shady tree and stare out over Wakatipu Lake.

Come for a stroll around the lake at the gardens. They are set in an ideal location right on the lake and a hop away from the Queenstown Mall. Lovely trees set as great backdrop to flowers, rose garden, sports facilities and frisbee course.

This is a must for anyone staying in Queenstown. A beautiful garden with great paths that were suitable for a wheelchair. Nice and shady in parts too on a very hot day. Outstanding layout.

Twenty years ago this garden was eight roses in groups of six x 6ft tall and giant blooms. It was a starter garden and our intro to the wonders of NZ gardening. Five trips to NZ later and many, many public and private gardens, our own garden built in the NZ style to bloom all season and 200 roses of... More

It's a park, it's free, great views of Queenstown and skyline especially at night. Great place to look at the sunset and to enjoy nature.
