Queenstown Garden

It was lovely to walk through the garden area and have the lake just beside you. There were seats along the way to sit on and watch the world go by.

We had a really enjoyable stroll in this lovely environment! Such a nice place in the city. We choose a lovely warm day and spent quite a long time wandering around!

The gardens are lush and full no matter the season. With plenty of pathways to explore a person could run or walk here daily without having to repeat the same route.

As a botanical garden, this is fairly good if not exceptional. Main thing it offers is excellent views to the town across the lake and mountains beyond on other sides... the walk on its periphery covering three sides is highly recommended. Three attached photos give you some idea of beautiful scenery even on a cloudy day.

My wife and I had an hour or so to kill so we decided to take in the Garden. The setting is a peninsula just a few yards from downtown Queenstown. The grounds are immaculately tended and not only all the flowers but the unusual trees are spectacular. It's a great low-key alternative to the adrenaline of downtown Queenstown.

Fantastic location with excellent views. Well maintained gardens - great for a run, walk or stroll with well placed benches to sit and take in the views.

Queenstown is half a nightmare! Plenty of people rushing, too much traffic, no parking, stressing town after having been to peaceful places like Lake Tekapo or the Bannockburn Desert. We disliked this town where thousands of shops sell adrenalin driven activities. One day, in the afternoon, we decided to go for a walk in the Gardens. Wonderful moment of relaxation,... More

A must do when in queenstown. Take an hour to stroll thru this park, or grab a frisbee for a game of frisbee golf. A really relaxing walk, with views everywhere

On a peninsula projecting out into the lake makes for pleasant walking. Well maintained gardens and frisbee golf, what's not to like?
