I love Quad Biking so I made it a goal to visit Nomad Safaris. The guys were so lovely and down to earth, they made the day so much fun! The "guide" (I forgot his name but he was awesome), made sure he knew what our capabilities were and pushed us that little bit more to get us having as... More

Had a great time exploring the valleys behind queenstown in Nomads rugged Land Rover Defenders. This isn't a pampered chauffeur driven experience, this is real and raw on good old dusty roads with some great info from the driver passed on to passengers. Dale took us out and he was on to it. This is one of those trips that... More

We took our 10 and 14 year old on this trip to see the abandoned gold mining town of Macetown. Our driver, Tim, was a top bloke who, as a local born and bred, was really knowledgeable about the area. The road was made by prospectors in the 1800's and in places you are literally driving in the river. It's... More

Hi Sam, fantastic that you and your family enjoyed the tour. Our Macetown trip isn't best suited for those with any back and neck problems as the road is very rough, but we have plenty of other smoother trip options! More

The guys at Nomads are great. We spent a half day quad biking with them and had a fantastic time. Wish we could have done a full day trip. The tracks were great fun with fantastic views over Queenstown. The guys quickly identified those who could head off on the more adventurous tracks and those who needed to take it... More

This is a must for Lord Of The Rings fans, but just as exciting for those of us who have never seen the films. Phil, our driver, navigated a winding unmade road down a steep canyon to the Shotover River ( I had my eyes closed at times so that I couldn't see the drop at the side of the... More

Hi John & Maggie - good advice about not attempting the Skippers Road by yourself! Our guides are experts at driving this road and many indeed live in here! Sorry to hear you didn't strike it lucky at gold panning, sadly neither have we yet!! Great to hear you enjoyed the tour though! More

Would definitely recommend the quad biking trip!Have done heaps of the activities in Queenstown but this trip had to be one of the best without a doubt! It bet my expectations, before the trip I expected that it was going to be quite a slow pace as many people probably wouldn't have rode a quad bike before, but in the... More

We travelled on the LOTRs tour B and loved it. Our guide Hamish, was a superstar from the moment he pulled up, it was not awkward or uncomfortable at all.We were able to chat for the whole 4 hours. To be honest I wasn't looking forward to the tour but was convinced to go A.Because my partner was a fan... More

Hi Jenna, thank you for leaving us your feedback - many visitors are concerned they won't enjoy our trips if they're not LOTR fans, but as you say there's a lot more to us (and NZ) then movie locations! More

Yes, Ladies and Gentlemen , REAL GOLD, we prospected in the tour the Arrowtown river and we found a micro particle of Gold. The tour was exciting, thrilling, stunning and many more adjectives. This guided tour GREENSTONE AND GOLD was spectacular. First the Dart River jet boat ride, speeding through channels (new ways every season), the landscape was beautiful. Taking... More
