Morning Glory. This was my second kayaking tour in New Zealand. First tour was amazing, second was nearly as good. But this was not the fault of Rosco's. Im travelling on my own, so got put with a stranger in the kayak. And they didnt listen to any instructions, or listen to my advise. Like put camera in dry bag,... More

We are a couple of 60+ year olds who were traveling with a couple of 30 year olds. We booked the Milford Track Paddle N Walk, thinking that more than a little kayaking might be too much for us old folks and that it would be nice to have a taste of the famous Milford Track. The day of our... More

Track and paddle - great way to feel a little sense of adventure from the kayaking on the sound with a walk down the Milford track. Our guide Tex was great - friendly, helpful and knew lots about the wildlife and plants. He is clearly an excellent kayaker too. Rosco's equipment was great, we could borrow layers etc to make... After humming and haa-ing over the price of the kayak tour, my partner and I decided to do the Twilight Tour with Rosco's. It is pricey, but it is was absolutely fantastic and we are so glad we decided to splurge on it. Our 'twilight' tour started at 1:45pm, since it gets dark by 7pm in April. Even after doing... More

We did both a boat tour and this kayak tour, and this kayak tour was definitely the best way to experience the sound. To be down on the water looking up to vertical cliffs climbing out of the water was awesome. We saw several seals and were close enough that we could've touched them. The gear provided was top-notch and... More

Even without coming across a large pod of doplhins, which we're told doesn't happen often, this was an amazing trip. Small group of 8, plus Matt the guide, made for a good size group. Actually on the water for 4 hours in addition to the instruction & kitting out. Photos & memories will last a lifetime.

We went out on the Morning Glory tour with Adam. He was an absolutely amazing guide. He knew an amazing amount about how the rocks formed, the animals in the area, and the birds. It was raining which originally made me a bit disappointed but he was so excited, it was infectious! So many waterfalls show up when it rains,... More

We wanted to experience the Milford sound in an active way, but the huts for the track book up so fast. When my parents came to visit, we tried to do the Morning Glory with them. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate. We still had a nice morning paddling in the basin and even saw a couple seals! Then, because we... More

My husband and I did the Morning Glory tour in February. It was a picture perfect morning with blue skies and calm waters. You are literally paddling for hours and get to see all of the Sound plus the seals that live there - they were swimming and playing around us which was awesome. Also, we got to kayak near... More

We had an incredible experience with Matt (from Georgia). The sandflies were annoying, as everyone says, but we only noticed them on land and when the boat first dropped us off. I really appreciate that Rosco's provided all of the appropriate clothing and kayaking gear. We had sunny weather and didn't get very wet--except for our streak up to Stirling... More
