What an unforgettable experience! I did the coach-cruise-fly option from Queenstown. The coaches are state of the art with glass roof, tricky seats angled towards the windows, all-wheel steering and very comfortable. I noticed that our coach stopped at a lot more photo destinations than other operators which was great as the scenery is jaw-dropping. For those considering a flight... More

A Milford Sound day trip was a definite on our list of things to do whilst in New Zealand. My partner and i had a fantastic outing on this boat tour. It offered brilliant views, and the driver was very informative when talking about the surroundings. We took our own lunch with us due to our budget, but the food... More

We enjoyed the journey from Te Anau to Milford Sound, stopping off at the many wonderful sights along the way. We took the two hour cruise and were blown away by the fantastic scenery. The trip was well organised and staff very informative. There was ample room inside and out to view the fantastic waterfalls, flora and fauna and wildlife.... More

Had a fabulous morning -- flew to Milford Sound on a small plane, took the boat ride -- out almost to the end of the Sound, and then flew back to Queenstown. we were fortunate that the weather cooperated -- they said the flights only go 50% of the time. it was beautiful day, and the scenery was spectacular. Almost... More

This is a cruise, no matter what the weather conditions, you must do. We took the overnight cruise and this is really the way to see Milford Sound in all of its beauty. We were there when it rained most of the day and evening, but this doesn't make the trip a bust. When it rains in Milford you get... More

Real Journeys' cruise of Milford Sound ( it's actually a fiord) offers spectacular views, vistas, seal colonies, rainforests, mountains and similar miracles of nature on a comfortable vessel with open deck viewing and interior seating when the wind and rain dictate less time on deck and more time inside. The crew is very professional, knowledgeble, friendly and makes every effort... More

We went on a late morning cruise and the scenery, boat and crew were fantastic. We had a buffet lunch on board and this was well presented and prepared. All in all a fantastic trip and one I am pleased we did not miss. The weather, of course, made all the difference as the previous day we would have seen... More

We went on the overnight trip. Definitely better than a day trip. There were just the 2 Real Journey boats in the Sound. Very peaceful. We were picked up from Te Anau which is a better option than the long trip from Queenstown. The coach journey itself was worth the admission price. Steve our driver gave a brilliant commentary. Not... More

Wee decided to do the bus trip to Milford Sound to avoid the long drive so glad we did or would have missed the amazing and beautiful scenery. Barry our driver and guide was great lots of interesting facts interspersed with wee funny stories and lots of stops for photo opportunities. Cruise was amazing loved getting up close to the...
