As this was part of an organised tour we did not know what to expect. But to find what looked like an old ship, but what was actually a very new ship, built and equipped like one nearly 100 years old, was NOT what we thought. Our cabin was small but adequate for the overnight stay. The views on the... More

If you are planning a travel to New Zealand, then you have to see the Milford Sound. The cruise is just superb. You can select any service provider offering you cruise. The place is just out of the world. You can see steep mountains, waterfall, huge water lake and then a sea all in one cruise. Depending on the season... More

As soon as you leave the docks you're away from all the tourists. The Real Journeys ships are fairly small and they do all the things you want to see in the sound, including pushing the prow under a waterfall. The onboard guide is not obnoxious but gave enough information to be useful. This places comes with so many huge... More

We were taken on an overnight cruise as part of a birthday present. This was very exciting, beautiful weather and a very knowledgeable and helpful crew who saw to every need and explained many of the natural and geological features. The scenery was unbelievably beautiful as were the dolphins and seals. The underwater viewing platform gave us a real insight... More

My wife and I booked this fantastic trip as part of our three week holiday to NZ back in February, but I have only just realised that I had not reviewed it (as I had our accommodation) when I was telling someone they should do it! For me it was the highlight of the holiday with breathtaking scenery, informative guides,... More

My husband and I went on an overnight cruise around Milford with Real Journeys. I was a little hesitant about this because organized tours aren't really our thing, but I'm very glad I chose this company. We ended up taking their bus from Queenstown in order to give my husband a little time off from behind the wheel. Our bus... More

The journey from Queenstown to Milford Sound is about 5 Hours one way and the cruise is about 2 hours but it is worth it.. This has been UN Heritage Site for long and it is worth it.. The day we went it was raining and the waterfalls were everywhere.. it was just an awesome sight on the way to... More

We've done the coach and cruise tour. The tour was quiet far from Queenstown to Milford Sound we left queenstown early morning 6:55am from Real Journeys office and we reached Milford sound past 11:30am but we stop to take photos in many scenic places. I really enjoyed this tour it was unforgettable the view was amazing and very beautiful. We've... More
