The views are beautiful and stunning. However don't pay extra for the food. Absolutely horrible. And rushed us to eat. Which nearly ruined the experience of it wasn't for the beautiful scenes we saw.

All of Real Journeys tours are first class. From the glow worms to TSS Earnslaw to their Doubtful Sound day cruise to the ultimate overnight Milford Cruise was wonderful. The ship was immaculately clean, staff on board very helpful, to perfect timing on departing and returning. Our overnight cruise in January 2015 was wonderful. We were fortunate to experience the... I have been to Milford Sound a few times before and enjoyed this time the most. It is quite a small sound, with an intensity of stunning scenery. As it doesn't take long to reach the Tasman Sea, the enjoyment is all in being able to go to sleep and wake up in the tranquility of the sound. It felt... More

To celebrate a 50th anniversary, 2 of us couples chose to take the overnight Milford cruise on the Milford Mariner. The crew was friendly and added a lot of humour to the cruise. The evening buffet was very good, as was the breakfast. Dolphins swam with us, we saw seals and went close to the waterfalls. The commentary was very... More

Today was really an awesome trip, the scenery of Milford Sound was amazing, the cruise staff were approachable and the naturalist on board, informative. Steve our bus driver was very knowledgeable and willing to share any information required. I recommend this trip for families with older children, but small children may find it a bit boring and the day too... More

We visited Milford Sound in December 2014 and took the short Scenic Cruise with the Real Journeys, duration ca 1h 40 min and costs ca 72 dollars per person. It was worth it - cliffs, waterfalls (when it does not rain you will probably only see two of them) and rain forests, pretty impressing. We even saw a small colony... More

A must whether a tourist or a resident of New Zealand. The trip was just unbelievable as was the commentary provided (thus Milford Fiord). Views breathtaking, with waterfalls, inlets. wildlife. We berthed in a bay overnight, had a really outstanding dinner (all thanks to the chef and crew), a wonderful evening including information slides etc. The cabins were small but... More

Coach driver was professional and knowledgeable and provided a good commentary during the hellishly long journey to Milford Sound. Well organised comfort breaks and photo opportunities. Boat trip was a little strange, we seemed to take an inordinate amount of time to transit the fiord. That said, the wildlife commentary wad good. Not for anyone who doesn't really love travelling... We thought this trip would be good, but it was far more than that it was excellent in every way. The crew were friendly, approachable, knowledgeable and funny. The accomodation was much better than I had expected, although not that spacious, but then who cares the only time you need to be in your cabin is when you are sleeping,... More
