After reading many reviews, we chose Mitre Peak Cruises. We did not make advance reservations, but were able to get on the next cruise once we arrived. I loved being on a smaller boat. We had great weather so we sat outside. I really could not take enough photos. The only thing that prevented me from giving them a perfect... More

There are several companies offering boat trips from Milford Sound - they are all represented at desks in the booking/waiting room area with doors out to the quayside. Most boats are quite large, some offering overnight accommodation. Mitre Peak boats are some of the smallest but this is a huge advantage. They go right in close to the cliffs and... More

Jesse, our driver, was highly professional, courteous, and knowledgeable about NZ's history, flora, and fauna. This cruise service was also punctual. They adhered to the schedule. They picked you up and dropped you off at our hotel . The coach and the boat were very clean. The staff on the boat was warm and friendly yet professional. This coach and... More

We picked this cruise on Milford based on some of the other comments, and they were right on target. We immediately noticed when we arrived that most of the boats were 2-3 times bigger than the one we were getting on. As we watched huge groups of people load the boat next to us, about 25 people got on our... More

Thank you for choosing to cruise with Mitre Peak Cruises. As you will know this is a rain forest and when it rains it certainly pours which creates hundreds more waterfalls. Normally we only have 3 or 4. The seals usually sleep during the day as they tend to fish all night, then return to the rocks for a well... More

This tour offers a great deal for a long all day trip. The bus picks you up at your place of lodging and offers many stops along the way to take photos once inside the national park. The boat cruise in comparison to others, is great. Mitre Peak has smaller boats, which allows them to get closer to the waterfalls... More

We chose a smaller company over the bigger one(s) and didn't regret this for one second. We departed earlier and returned later, went deeper in the sound than the other ones. It was a great day overall. More

Do the Milford Sound cruise - its worth it! What a beautiful way of spending two hours (and worth the 4 hour drive each way) with the bonus and luck that a pod of dolphins coming into the Sound and spending 5 or 10 mins riding the boats bow wave. This gave us a close up look at them (almost... More

We chose mitre peak cruises because of the positive reviews on trip adviser. We could not fault the cruise in anyway. Many of the other boats were quite crowded, but mitre peaks had a comfortable number of people. More
