Pretty standard service for an iSite. Neither great nor awful and I got what I wanted which was simply advice on travel to TeAnau and the Milford road for a visiting friend. I was disgusted to see the staff eating their lunches at their workstations. This is not a good look for visitors and neither was the smell of pizza.... More

I am sorry you were disappointed with your experience at our i-SITE. I can assure you that the staff concerned have been reminded of the need for professionalism and that food is definitely not consumed in public view now. More

Picked up information at the I-site about a heritage trail in the city- easy walking and great way to visit many of the beautiful old buildings and churches in the city. Highlights St Mary's Basilica, Southland Masonic centre, Bank corner and boar war memorial, railway hotel, civic theatre and WEA building. We found Invercargill an interesting city and so pleased... The attentive, clearly well trained staff, could not be more helpful, besides helping with my initial query they suggested additional trips and activities based on their local knowledge. I noticed one of the team being extremely patient with a tourist who's command of english was very limited. I came away surprised with what was going on and around Invercargill and... More

We were greeted by a friendly staff member as we walked in the door, and that set the tone of the great service the Invercargill I-Site staff provide. They were very helpful and offered some great suggestions and ideas of thing for us to do while in their city. The free map that they hand out is a very useful... More

Including Tuatara which you can view from the inside and from the outside even if the site is closed. The staff in the café are... More
