This excursion was a relaxing way to see the Otago Peninsulafrom land and sea. The excursion began with a boat ride, viewing shags, a couple of blue penguins and fur seals. We then transferred to motor coach to drive further along the peninsula to the Natures Wonders sheep farm for a sheep herding and shearing demonstration and learned a lot... More

We visited Natures Wonders from a cruise ship (as many do) and highly recommend that you get your reservations early. Because they take out small groups (4-6) in each vehicle it fills up fast. The scenery is incredible and otherwise inaccessible, but the most amazing part is being able to be so close to the wildlife without disturbing them. They... More

What an experience on their "sort" of quad bikes. Over unbelievably rough terrain , yet a very smooth ride , but hang on tight anyway. Only 6 or 7 at most on each tour. The view from the top is great but to see the seals in their natural environment and up so close was a wonderful experience. No rare penguins... More

My wife and I visited this attraction in March 2013 as a cruise ship excursion. We had a great time, in particular enjoying the Argo adventure, an amazing eight-eight wheel drive mini-tank(!) which negotiates the unforgiving terrain like an armadillo on speed! The remote nature reserve is located a long way from the cruise terminal and the city of Dunedin... More

We recently took a 14 day cruise of AU and NZ and booked tours at each stop. Natures Wonders was our very favorite adventure! Perry's enthusiasm is engaging and we thoroughly enjoyed the day--saw the dogs work the sheep, a shearing demonstration with incredible insights shared, had a wonderful lunch with unmatched views, and took the ATV tour where we... Absolutely loved this great tour. It was great to see seals up close and view rare yellow-eyed penguins in their natural environment with minimal human impact on their lives. It was a thrill to ride on the small buggy over some challenging terrain, all the while seeing amazing 360 views of the peninsula and surrounding area. Our guide was an... More

Enjoyed our trip with their 6 or 8 wheels ATV up their private mountain to explore the scenery and NZ blue penguin. The guide was very informative and friendly, overall experience was great and recommended tho the price could be a bit expansive to us. However, you could only find opportunity to explore the tip north of otago peninsula with... More

John Smart from Clutha Vets at Balclutha has provided professional advice to Perry Reid's Natures Wonders. John was the tour guide for our 12-day tour of the South Island, and he arranged the visit to Natures Wonders at Taiaroa Head . There were 39 on our tour, and we fitted into a convoy of 8-wheel Argos that traveled around the... More

A great experience. We went on the vehicle with our two small kids (1 and 3) and we all loved it. Yes, it's a bumpy ride, but that's fun! The views of the peninsula are awesome. We got very close to fur seals feeding their babies and we also saw some yellow eyed penguins way down at the beach. There... More

Just literally came back from this tour today and loved it. Our tour guide, Pat was fun and very knowledgable. The Argo ride is dusty, bumpy and fantastic. We saw the baby seals and yellow eyed penguin - awesome. Stopped at Larnach Castle for an hour walking through this grand old mansion. Best thing we did in sleepy Dunedin.
