we had gotten an online deal with the high tea and castle/garden viewing. A nice place to visit in dunedin. It is unique being the only castle in nz. We had come to the gate lastyear but had turned back after seeing the price. It is a bit expensive. But the deal online with the package was well worth it. More

For our only night in Dunedin we stayed at Lanarch Castle. On arrival we drove around beautifully manicured gardens to our lodge, where we were warmly welcomed, and shown to our room. We did the self guided tour of the gardens and they where lovely and you get some great views of the outside of the castle.You can do a tour of the inside of castle but time didn't permit when we were there.The tours are a bit pricey but still enjoyable. More
