We were picked up at the dock beside our cruise ship at 9.30am by Mark and there were only 3 other passengers! Mark gave us an informative tour of Dunedin. We visited Larnach Castle, beautiful, then we went to The Penguin Place which was just amazing as we saw Yellow Eyed penguins in their natural habitat. Mark took us to... More

Thanks Chris. You are amazing. Thanks for sharing with us your knowledge of Dunedin and bring us to the amazing place. I wish we can spend more time for most of the location. You are really friendly and helpful. You make us want to come back to Dunedin and stay longer the next trip. Thanks.

Last month we took the Dunedin tour with Back To Nature Tours and couldn't be more pleased with Daniel's knowledge of the area and the service provided. We were on a cruise and we were picked up at the port and returned in a timely fashion, as promised. It was the best tour of our vacation. Communicating with Steve in... More

This tour was my very first New Zealand tour, and it was a beautiful way to be introduced to the country. My guide Chris was so informative on local history, town attractions, and wildlife conservation. His passion for animals and the environment was obvious from his knowledge and his dedication to different conservation projects. We saw stunning scenery on the... More

We booked through Zealandier Tours who placed us with Back to Nature Tours. We had a such a great time seeing the worlds steepest street, Castel, Train Station, Yellow Eyed Penguins, and Albatross. Chris was our guide and he is excellent at his job. Lunch was delicious I would recommend the Fish and Chip meal. The worst part of the... More

We started out the Otago peninsula and Daniel showed us penguins, seals, and albatrosses. He was informative and open. We had a delicious fish and chips lunch and proceeded to look at birds, not our favorite activity, usually, but Daniel made it interesting. The rest of the tour was just as delightful.

We booked this hike (moderate, not for sedentary!) to do something different. Our tour guide, Mark, picked us up at the pier and we found that we were the only ones for this trip! Our tour started with the steepest street, then to the Railway Station, passing by the Cadbury Factory and Museum (visited this later on our own), then... More

My wife and I booked in advance with Zealandier Tours for the Dunedin's Best Shore Excursion (Tour #DB2NFD) on 23rd December 2014. The tour was run by Back to Nature Tours (a sister company of Zealandier Tours). We were quite lucky, as we were the only couple on this group tour and ended up having our own private tour guider...
