I kept a journal during my time in NZ but I've since lost it. I do remember enjoying a beer at the Speights Brewery. After that I traveled to Christchurch, which is also a good town to enjoy a cold brew -_-

The tour moved at a really nice pace and it covered much of the history and therefore some history of the city. The brewery itself was in very good shape, it's been taken care of for sure. Our guide didn't hold back at all during the tasting in the end, some of these tours you get a wee glass of...

We did the Speights Brewery tour on our last night in Dunedin, much to our delight it was well worth the money. Our tour guide was so informative and made it very interesting for the whole group, unfortunately I cannot remember his name. It was good hearing how the brewery started and also how the brewery won the gold medals...

Half an hour to drink as much as you can at the end - worth it. Really interesting tour too - great history behind the place.
We did the Speights Brewery Tour and lunch package. Excellent value for $55. The tour was very informative and interesting. The tastings were great. The lunch at the ale house was top notch. If you are going to Dunedin, put this one on you must do list!
I wrote ahead from Canada to set up a tour of Speight's - It seemed funny to do a brewery tour in a country known for excellent wineries but it was well worth the price of admission. Other than the fact that there were many staircases to manage, it was easy to navigate and the information was excellent and very...

I like to do brewery tours when ever I can and found myself enjoying this one. Our tour guide was a fount of information on Speights and the city of Dunedin. I mush say it is good to see a brewery still using traditional equipment though that copper must take weeks to polish. The tasting at the end was excellent,...

This was one of the best brewery tours I have been on. The beer is still made in a very traditional way and it did not feel very industrial like most brewerys I have visited. It reminded me more of the breweries in Munich. I was told that they are upgrading soon so this might not be the case for...

The tour was really nice, but it'll not blow away your mind. Our tour guide was suprisingly intresed to run this tour, I think it's because it was the last tour of the day. In fact a lot of people just wait until the end, when they can taste the different beers and the one Speights cider. However, you can...

The only good part of the tour was the end. Our tour guide was fairly old and seemed like he was drunk and was sick of doing this tour over and over again. Each room we entered was controlled by remotes but half the time it wasn't working (seemed more like the guide had no clue since the actual tv...
