Great tour! Very interesting and liked seeing all the old equipment. Guide was great too... had a sense of humour which made is better. 30 mins of free beer tasting was great too! Only thing I would like to add into the tour would be a short film or even show the tour what each stage of the beer making... More

When in Dunedin I took the brewery tour which I did not regret, the brewery has a lot of history that is explained very well by the guide ,for a round an hour and a half we where showing around the old and new parts of the brewery and how the beer is made, you also get to try lots of different... While I was in Dunedin I took the opportunity to do the Speight's tour and I was not disappointed. The guide was excellent being both informative and amusing. It was great seeing all the machinery and displays in this historic brewery. I was able to try some tasty beers that I hadn't encountered before. I followed the tour with dinner... More

Fantastic! Blonde, female tour guide was so informative, friendly and enthusiastic about what she did. Not even a big fan of beer, but their Summit lager had me converted. Was beautiful seeing the heritage copper works and basically having a no off limits tour. Partner and I loved the experience and would definitely recommend and return! My father did it... More

The tour was so much fun! Graeme, our guide was so great! Truly one of a kind to tour with! He has an extensive knowledge about all things Speight's related and has such an awesome personality. He took the time to get to know each guest and made us feel comfortable the whole time. Our group asked so many questions,... More

Have just been, went for my birthday. Interesting tour, super keen staff, ended with taster beers, helped our selves then went to their ale house for more and nibbles. Both worth while!

My daughter and I went on the Speight's tour when I visited her in Dunedin and it was great! The tour guide spent his career at the brewery so he knew the history and every step in the brewing process inside and out. He also made the tour very personal - down to making jokes about America's beer of choice... More

I rate this tour very highly. The reason for this is the brewery has excellent displays but mainly because the tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic and that is a very hard combination to beat. Oh and did I mention the beer tasting at the end. If you can only do one tour in this area this would be... More

Despite my dreadful pun, this tour is really worth it. The history, tasting and handling the raw ingredients, the old verses the new brewery was really interesting. All topped of with 30 minutes pulling your own beer on the taps. Tasting 7 different ales as often as you can. You will have an "ale" of a time.

It was an interesting tour detailing the history of Speights Brewery. Our guide was related to one of the founders so we had a very in depth history relative to his family. The video equipment did not work and we really did not see any of the actual production as you do at some other brewery's. I would rate it... More
