When we were in Christchurch a couple of years ago, this clock tower was shored up with timber and the spike on the top was leaning precariously. They have now completed the restoration and it looks brilliant again.

it's just a clock in a small block, nothing special, but it's nice to see that some few 'old' buildings have survived the big earthquakes from 2011.

Another reminder of the earthquake in the city centre and the time is still as when major earthquake happened in 2010

This clock tower was one of the first things that was restored here in Christchurch after the earthquake. The stonework is very old same as some of the buildings around Christchurch.

The old historic clock tower from the old pre earthquake remains standing marking its place in history against and in contrast to the "new" Christchurch a modern day city Moving and a reminder of the earthquakes and what was as time moves forward

This Iconic Christchurch clock tower is still stuck on 12.51 - the time of the first major earthquake in September 2010. Definitely worth a look at and a photo!

I live quite close to this but never took much notice of it. One day on a walk I had a quick look and took a photo and instagrammed it! @fludlle in case you were wondering! If you're only in town for a day or two give it a miss unless you're on Victoria street to eat!

Good for taking a few photos. There aren't many old buildings left in Christchurch so it is nice to see this in the middle of town.
