We took a walk through Hagley Park, watching the punters on the river. Some work still going on following the earthquake but no real problems. Very pretty flower beds and lots of seats to sit and relax. Good information centre and a cafe. Recommended.

A beautifully laid out park, close to the Canterbury Museum and Christchurch Hospital which is such a pleasure to walk in, or just sit and watch the world go by. Beautiful trees and gardens with the river Avon flowing through and containing many types of sports fields. Don't forget the boats for hire on the river Avon. Truly beautiful to... More

went to Hagley Park for a comedy show, there were plenty of shows to pick from, food and drinks avalable and afterwards this is a lovely place to lie back, relax and listen to the birds, if you can hear them over the Cicadas

This is a beautiful place to take a morning or afternoon stroll. There is 3 different parks to walk around. In the spring time there are beautiful flowers all around you! The path around big Hagley park is smooth and good for prams and scooters for the kids!

This is a nice enough park. Not terribly crowded as most people visit the other city parks. Nice rose garden and water lilies.

Hagley Park is centrally located in Christchurch, & has cafes, walking & biking tracks, a golf course, other sports fields to use or watch, & bbq, hectares of green grass. There is something for everyone, & its best enjoyed on foot - park up & walk.

I went to the ODI in Hagley Park whcih was great. The lakes, bridges and plants were fantastic. I punted down the Avon River and it was great. There is some many lovely old trees in the park. The old weeping willow was just amazing
