We walked through this park which has stunning flower garden. It was during the evening and the bees were pollinating, itt was just so relaxing after arriving from Queenstown. They have a nice little cafe you can sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere. Family's had picnics, children were running around and playing. It is worth taking time to enjoy.

Great park with loads of entries. Many people use it for exercise, running, walking and cycling Would be great if they had a separate track for cycling :)

It was a lovely stroll through the park. There's a little cafe and the botanical gardens are also on hand. Lovely to clear the cobwebs.

I saw that several other people wrote raving reviews. I wonder if they mix up Hagley Park and the Botanical Gardens, which are side by side? Hagley Park is pretty much a rectangular grassed area with nice old trees around it. The paths are full of people walking, running or cycling. The grassed spaces are used for all kind of... More

We always visit Hagley Park on our annual visit to New Zealand a really peaceful place to visit in the centre of Christchurch. A new modern new cafe has just been built as the old one was extensively damaged by the earthquake 4 years ago

Hagley Park is a highlight in Christchurch and we had the joy of a Sunday stroll in the autumn sunshine. Crisp and beautiful we love finishing our vacation with a walk here, feed the ducks and watch the enthusiasts sailing their model yachts on the lake. It provides the memories which I often go back to when settling down at... More

The share scope of the park is bewildering = great vision so many years ago. We spent 4 hours on a cold morning discovering this beautiful park. Recommend highly.

Such a major part of the city if not for its sporting use then for the botanic gardens among it, the Avon river runs through and the new hagley oval used for first class and international cricket is great, there's also a golf course parks for kids and tennis courts it's really a fun day out or more than a...
