A very short, reasonably expensive ride. Its not really worth doing, and you can walk it quicker from Cathedral Square to the Botanic Gardens.

Great way to see this beautiful city. Unfortunately earthquakes have taken their toll. It is still one of my favorite cities.

Nice tramway that has little function now other than as a tourist trip and focus for rebuilding. Good and passionately drivers who relate the history well and well maintained trams, one from Cristchurch, the other originally from Invercargill.

I understand that do to the earthquakes the route is very short, although they are reopening more of it soon. I bought the combined ticket for the gondola and the tram and while the ride was fine I would have been disappointed had I paid for the tram to have such a short route that takes 15 or so minutes.

The tramway system was badly affected by the earthquakes and as a result the route is limited. However the ticket is hop on hop off so you can use it all day. There is commentary on board by the knowledgable tram drivers as you go from new regent street to the botanical gardens. The slow pace is a great way... More

Hopped on this tram that was $10 per adult for an all day ticket with as many rides as you like. Great drivers with lots of interesting facts about the city. Sadly a lot of the city is still awaiting work after the earthquakes but this is a great way to see its sights. Great for kids too.

Arrived this morning after a long flight from the UK. Well after travelling on the tram, a warm welcome from the driver, beautifully preserved trams, great commentary about rebuild and other landmarks. A lovely experience to get your bearings and to feel the support of the people of Christchurch to rebuild their city.

Great experience. Although damaged in the earthquakes well worth seeing the city this way. They are working hard to get it up and running again.

It was good for a ride around the town but the route was too short since it was affected by the Earthquake :(

We hope you enjoyed your time on the Tram! The route is a bit shorter than it used to be due to some demolition and construction taking place along Armagh Street, but we are looking forward to getting the all clear to extend our tracks at the end of this year. Thank you for taking the time to review our... More

We have visited Christchurch several times over the years, but never taken the tram. Pre-kids, we loved walking into town from the gardens (we would park at the gardens and walk in). However, now with kids, we saw it and thought it might be worth a go. It was great. Lovely commentary, and chance to see through as far as... More
