We loved the trams. The commentary was good and the ability to hop on and off was a bonus. The whole circuit takes around 45 minutes and if you do get off, the next tram is in 12 minutes. We thought the price of $20 was a little steep but not off putting.

Look this tram is an excellent way to get around the centre of Christchurch if you have poorly legs. you can jump on and off all the way. the fee is $20 per head. I found the commentary rather poor and repetitive but this tram was an effective way for us to get views of Christchurch and the earthquake devastation.... More

My husband and I did this tour and the one on the open top bus - both gave great insights into the city, the damage and the restoration. I loved stopping at the ReStart Mall, such a unique spot made from shipping containers - a great spot for lunch.

Nice way to get a short ride round the city. Kids love it, and just jump on and off to see the sights.

Fantastic was to get round city centre, cheaply! You can hop on & off as many times as you like, ticket valid all day. What I would reccomend is go round circuit once, then hop & off where you see something you like! Reccommend old quaint street, bottom of town, after Hagley Park. Name Escapes me!

I cannot understand how anyone can think this isn't good value for money or that you'd be better off walking. For NZD20.00 per person you get unlimited trips on the trams all day with the opportunity, firstly, to hop on and hop off at various points around the city centre and, secondly, to listen to the knowledgeable and very funny... The experience of a tram ride was fun, value for money poor, $20.00 for a short ride was not good value, an over priced experience. One tram driver was very informative the other was very frugal with her knowledge. If Christchurch City is wanting to get tourists travelling around the city on the trams drop the price and promote this... More

The tram has re-opened once again and the routes have been expanded. A very nice way to see the city and the option to board and drop off throughout the day from any point is wonderful - remember to retain your ticket.

We travelled on the tram on the day that more tracks were opened. Christchurch is fighting back and this is a nice way to tour the area. We were provided, as a private party, with canapes and champagne during our trip and a lovely time was had by all.
