Its a nice way to see the entire city square, its a 20 min ride for 15 $ for an adult, no ticket for kids. If you have more time on hand, then you can walk along the tram track. its around 2.5 km long.

This is a hop on and hop off service with a guide on each tram telling you about the area that you pass through. We parked the car and went on this to get to the Botanic Gardens and then continued the rest of the journey round after we had finished in the gardens. The detail in the information given... More

Take a load off your feet and ride the tram for a spell! While touring downtown this is a lovely ride with commentary by your motorman. We enjoyed it all. At the time we were there they were operating two different historic tram cars and we rode them both. Do yourself a favor and take time to enjoy this attraction.

I have not been on the trams since the earthquakes. The routes are short but long enough to relax and take in some of the sites. The condition of the trams is remarkable having been restored beautifully. Every one of them seems to be different and has their own charm. The drivers give a running commentary which is interspersed with... More

This was in ourchristchurch four ticket, well worth buying! A short trip round the sites, due to the earthquake damaged understand it would usually be longer. I would advise this is the first thing to do when you arrive, as you can get your bearings and see some sites and get some info from the great tram drivers

We took a ride on the Christchurch tram on 8th December. At $15 for a 20 minute ride around the city, it seems quite expensive, but as you are allowed to get off and on whenever you want to for a full day, it works out as good value. The commentary was very good and it gave us a good... More

What a pleasure to see these old trams being used across the city. We did find that we did need to pay attention in Cathedral Square as the trams do use the pedestrian walkways to go through

When I visited, this facility was only just getting back running. Many parts were so affected after the earthquake that a great deal of repair work was required. It is pleasing to see such a piece of history running around the city

I think I went there around 2011 (but I need to put another date here, otherwise it won't allow me to post review) The tram itself is quite cute. It slowly goes around the city and you can hop off anywhere you want. My parents and I got on it on the last day of our trip, and we discovered... More
