This was a wonderful experience. The Tram drivers are enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. The Trams are fully restored and all three are different so try them all if you are able. You are able to hop on and off as you please and this allows you to walk around and see the sights up close. They will be extending the... More

A great way of seeing not just the destruction the earthquake caused but all the new buildings that are going up. The tram driver was great and gave a very imformative overview

We won an annual pass on the tram through a local radio station. We take a ride around the City every few weeks and our son just loves it. One day we even had the Wizard sit with us!

We started to walk around the area and then saw the Tram, the best way to see everything and with a running commentary about all the buildings and history well worth it

My husband and I have just made another trip to Christchurch in June and once again used the Tramway to get around the inner city. This is a great mode of transport and covered the majority of destinations that we wished to visit. Though the city looks like a war zone, with derelict buildings, empty lots and closed roads there... More

Very informative and there are enough trams running that you only wait 10-15 minutes for the next tram to come along, which allows you to get on and off as much as you like. The commentary is excellent and doesn't make it sound like the driver has said the same thing a dozen times today!

My wife and I had a lovely summer trip around old central Christchurch in summer. It was a wonderful tour of the city with damaged buildings but also all the new life and buildings that are developing. As a local it was so great to see what is happening in the city and how the rebuild is progressing. The tram... More

Tramway was a nice way to go around the city, it's a hop-on, hop-off tram. For NZD 20.00 you'll get to see the remains of Christchurch Cathedral, Hagley Park, Canterbury Museum and ReStart Mall.

You can probably walk it all if you are mobile enough but a great way to get around, we got a pass for the tram, the gondola and the sky ride and enjoyed them all
