Hopped on this tram that was $10 per adult for an all day ticket with as many rides as you like. Great drivers with lots of interesting facts about the city. Sadly a lot of the city is still awaiting work after the earthquakes but this is a great way to see its sights. Great for kids too.

Arrived this morning after a long flight from the UK. Well after travelling on the tram, a warm welcome from the driver, beautifully preserved trams, great commentary about rebuild and other landmarks. A lovely experience to get your bearings and to feel the support of the people of Christchurch to rebuild their city.

Great experience. Although damaged in the earthquakes well worth seeing the city this way. They are working hard to get it up and running again.

It was good for a ride around the town but the route was too short since it was affected by the Earthquake :(

We hope you enjoyed your time on the Tram! The route is a bit shorter than it used to be due to some demolition and construction taking place along Armagh Street, but we are looking forward to getting the all clear to extend our tracks at the end of this year. We have visited Christchurch several times over the years, but never taken the tram. Pre-kids, we loved walking into town from the gardens (we would park at the gardens and walk in). However, now with kids, we saw it and thought it might be worth a go. It was great. Lovely commentary, and chance to see through as far as... More

$10 each and children travel free - so an affordable activity and it has the advantage of a good commentary on the city. You can get on and off as often as you like or just ride the tram up and down. Admittedly it is a short route due to the rebuild but you still feel you get good value... More

Thank you for taking the time to review our attraction! It sounds like you were on little Tram No. 11: our staff put in a lot of work to restore this tram after the quakes, so I will pass your comments on to them. Thank you for taking our tram tour of the changing city. More

We both thoroughly enjoyed riding the tram from the Museum and back. Really nice to get local perspective on the effect of the quake and lovely to hear emotion but positivity about the rebuild.

Enjoyed our tram ride. Really felt like being back in time.Even though it was a short ride. I assume this is because or all the rebuilding work taking place in the city

Single track opened with around 5 stops enroute to the Museum. Very informative commentary with good overview of the city centre plus helpful staff. Ride it as many times as you like in the day. Cathedral junction has some nice coffee shops. A good experience that typifies the hard work that is going into to regenerating the city centre -... More
