You can taste the wines in a great tasting room. The wines are some of the best in New Zealand. They also have a first class restaurant. I would certainly recommend you visit.

Of all of the high-end dining venues within reach of Christchurch, Pegasus Bay is not only the best but also the most consistent. Excellent food served with a smile and accompanied by fabulous wines. The beautiful location only adds to the experience. Prices are not cheap but you always get good value (unlike many other upper echelon restaurants in the... More

This is the best of the best. Service, brilliant. Surroundings, wonderful. Wines, world class. Food, absolutely stunning. We had lunch with two starters, shared main and a shared dessert. After a treat from the kitchen (yum), we had the Roasted Beetroot, buffalo yogurt, ricotta salata, mint and smoked pecans. We also had the Venison Carpaccio with Pinot cherries, horseradish cream... The first time we visited we just stopped in for a tasting and we loved the grounds so much that we booked a table for lunch a few days later. The wines are exceptional and the food is delicious. It was a lovely sunny day so we sat in the garden and had great service. I would highly recommend having... More

This is a beautiful winery worth the trip from Christchurch. Spectacular Pinots and a beautiful restaurant. We could not get a table so the manager made a call and sent us to another winery about 10 minutes away which also had great wine and wonderful restaurant.

We were fortunate enough to be guests of the MTA executive dining at Pegasus today, the ambience, food, wine and service was world class in every aspect. The staff were attentive and friendly. Overall a wonderful dining experience and other establishments could learn from Pegasus the true art of entertaining.

It's been a few years since I was last at Pegasus Bay winery but I felt I needed to give it a review. Around this part of New Zealand (well, mainly a bit further north) you can drown yourself in Sauv Blanc without even trying. Nothing against all the great NZ producers of that varietal but if you want some... More

The sight of four helicopters lined up on the lawn alert you to the fact that this is a very special place. We tasted Pinot Noir,Chardonnay and Riesling while we looked through windows at floor-to-ceiling stacks of oak aging casks. Sit outside in the garden or picnic ,as we did, in a natural amphitheater by a man-made lake. The restaurant... More

Having driven past it so many times, we finally stopped with my 2 daughters for lunch. It was busy, not full but we were treated exceptionally well. my 2 daughters (13 and 9) were made so welcome it was really a treat as we had some fears that they would not be in such a fine dining venue. The waitresses... More

We ate the duck for two, sitting in the garden with an awesome server. Walking around the grounds was a great cap to scrumptious wine and equally delicious food. I recommend the courses for two - it was a lot more food than ordering one dish.
