Went to see Hound of the Baskervilles - absolutely fantastic. Great show with great actors. The Court Theatre is always great.

This little theatre (was in the old University Complex) but is now is in temporary location, is an excellent place to see world and NZ dramas, produced and acted by local talents.

Every Friday and Saturday night they have these scared scriptless shows which are awesome! THey are impromptu comedy shows. Go to Cargo bar for a drink first, then catch a show and then hit the clubs. It is always a good night.

What an amazing staging of a well-known & loved play. Yes, therewere some issues with accents - or rather stress & intonation, but Shakespearean English is not always easy to understand. The night we went a large group of school children loved the show, esp the antics of Puck. Well done Court Theatre and shame on those who walked out.

Took our daughters to the latest Court performance of Shakespeare's mid summer nights dream. Left at half time as we all agreed, although the performance was passionate and professional, we struggled to understand the American/Asian accents of the performers who held the Central Roles. We are major sponsors of the court and applaud their initiative in experimenting with this show,... More

Our family recently attended Midsummer Nights Dream at the Court. This season was a little different in that it included a number of Chinese actors as part of an exchange programme. We are regular attendees but a recent press review expressed some disappointment so we were not quite sure what to expect. Sure there were a few times that is... More

I had the delight of attending the performance of a Midsummers night dream last night. The theatre is located in Addington which makes it easy to get to from all directions. There is plenty of parking and for patrons is free. I do have to say though that the cost of a glass of wine is rather pricey, although I... More

The theatre is nice. This is a review of the play. It was painfully awful. I admire the hard work of the Chinese people trying to play the parts in this Shakespeare play, but it did NOT go well. I couldn't understand a word they were saying. Because of the challenges of language, there was no acting going on, just... More

The court Theatre goes from strength to strength, I like the warehouse location with container ticket booth, bar and loos. Its just so ChCh - however once the lights dim you could be anywhere in the world. The dedicated company provide light relief, love their jobs and make it well worth the effort to attend. I laughed my way thru... More
