I pick this place over the Orana wildlife park and im glad. Upon arrival in the carpark we are greeted by 2 curious roosters wanting food. We bought the 4 different types of food at the reception - farmland, eel, poultry abd fish. It's $3 a bag and it's worth the fun. The animals come right up to you and... More

This park is reasonably priced for a family to visit, allowing you to interact by purchasing the different foods to feed eels, as well as larger and smaller animals. Not only do they have a variety of animals and birds native to New Zealand, but lemurs, monkeys and farm animals and for the little members of the family there are... More

There is plenty to see for a 3-4 hour experience at Willowbank. The highlights for us were the kea and kiwi. If you stand still in the kea enclosure they will fly/jump onto your shoulders. These inquisitive birds will investigate your sunglasses, buttons, straps, hair or anything else within pecking range. Highly recommended for a great photo opportunity; my wife... More

As a group of 20 something's we were a bit reserved about going to Willowbank. However we were wrong for being so. The staff were great. The price was totally worth it. We loved the kea enclosure and it was great to have such an experience seeing the kiwis. All around good day out for all ages

Saw some indigenous to NZ wildlife I have not before so it was about time, and the kiwi again. Good place to visit. Suitable for hours rather than a quick look. Not far from Christchurch city's other many attractions of interest. All good so go, I recommend.

If you want to see the "big 5" (Kiwi, Kea, Takahe, Kaka, Tuatara) and more all in one spot this is the place to go. The park has huge variety of animals in enclosures that allow good viewing and a nice layout and setting to walk around in. The Kiwi enclosure was an absolute highlight being able to actually see... At last got to see some kiwi's, As we travelled the south island the cost to see a kiwi was ridiculous. Went to williwbank with some trepidation but this place is awesome. The animals here are so close and there is a wide array of them. Kiwi's in abundance. The cafe was also a standout as sometimes these places are... More

We come time and again and our 3 year old loves running ahead to find the next animal or bird. Shaded safe pathways and great for exploring. Fab kiwi enclosure and we almost always spot one in the dark! Great coffee in the coffee shop!!

Good value for the kids, lots of opportunities to touch and feed the animals. Great little wildlife park near town. Recommended for families with younger children.
