Visited recently and found Moa to have a great range of beers for such a small boutique brewery. It was also a great setting and would be quite easy to relax into a few hours sitting out the front. The barman (who does pretty much everything at Moa himself) was very knowledgeable and easy to talk too. The $5 tasting... More

Picton was not without a visit to Moa Brewing Co. Has a nice outside area with umbrellas and seating for those to enjoy. In front to the main building is a metal statue of the giant Moa Bird now extinct of course. We were greeted by a very pleasant lady who after some discussion told us she worked in Western Australia,our... More

We turned up to Moa Brewery on a Friday afternoon after being recommended it by one of the locals. The beer was fantastic. A good selection of beers on tap and bottle and mostly brewed with NZ hops. The guy serving was unfortunately not forth-coming with any information at all about the brewing process even after two questions. Everything was... More

This small and eclectic brewery has a lovely atmosphere with its quirky decor and comfortable setting. The wide variety of beers were pulled by a freindly German guy from pumps with an assorted selecting of bizarre handles. The tastings were generous and he was kept busy at the bar serving the many customers. There was a handy description of the... More

it is the second time I visit the brewery for a tasting, and the second time I leave the brewery with a mixed feeling, thinking that I have enjoyed the beer, but not the tasting experience. I am very interested in craft beer and am a home brewer, so I have a great interest in chatting with the person offering... More

We arrived hoping for a tour of the brewery, but this was sadly not on offer. There was an excellent selection of good beers on tap however and $5 gave us each a generous sample of six different beers. The barman was knowledgable and friendly. Brewery door prices were very reasonable. A good place for craft beer fans to drop... More

Well worth a visit - we loved this little brewery and it's rustic cheeky character! Sampled some great beers and shared a laugh or two with the staff. One of the highlights of our day in Matlborough

Enjoyed tasting some of the MOA beers. Impressed that, if you wished, there was food to accompany the beers. Some good value deals on bottled beers to buy too.

We stopped here as part of a tour and did a tasting of about 6 beers. To be fair it was after lunch at Allan Scott across the street so we were a bit full. We were excited about a break from wine to try some beer. However we were a bit disappointed at the service (though we rarely had... More

Had tried Moa beer in the U.S. During America's Cup in SF and loved it, so we sought out the brewery when we were in Blenheim. Not a good spot if you are looking for a tour and hands on beer experience, but if you want to drink good beer, chat with Moa staff who are very passionate about their... More
