This collection and its presentation is first class. I was thrilled to see these historic machines in realistic settings. You can spend one or several hours here. Bring a coat in winter.

Looks a bit geeky from the outside, but once you get inside and see the displays put together by Peter (Lord of the Rings) Jackson's production company .. what a sight!

We almost missed this gem! Initially we thought 'surely this can be walked thru in 20 minutes..', but as we walked in, we were just amazed by the displays and the volume of information! My husband is the aviation buff in the family, but even I was more than happy to spend the whole afternoon there. Loved all the Red...

One of the best aviation muesums we have been to. Great 1st world war aviation history with fantastic war scenes build around the aircraft displays. Great way to understand how aircraft were built and used in the war.
Best to take your time and allow about 2 hours to see all the displays and well worth the entry cost.

Great attraction for the family- the displays were brilliant and even non-aviation buffs (like me!) were impressed. Very good value

The museum has quite a large number of aircrafts and videos and a...

Everything looked so real that we felt we were there with them. This is is a 'dont miss' display. We sent many people that we have met on our travels to this centre.

The quality of the exhibits was fantastic and extremely interesting. The scenes and mannequins designed by Weta Workshops and Wingnut Productions are very impressive. The guides were very helpful and knowledgeble. Even if you are not an aviation nut, it is worth a visit.

I enjoyed seeing the history of the war from a slightly different perspective and appreciating for the first time the great losses the forces from NZ suffered. I also enjoyed hearing the recorded reminiscences of those who had taken part. It was a very interesting way to...

Learn about the legendary aircraft and personalities of early military aviation. Even if you're not an aviation buff, the depth of Peter Jackson's collection of W.W.I aircraft and memorabilia will make an impression on you. Can't wait to see the planned W.W.II. museum.
