This is the best ski resort in the southern hemisphere. Big steep terrain for serious skiers. We come back every year. That's not to say it's perfect. Queues can be a drag on busy days. Powder is infrequent. The chutes are often closed (I'd say over 60 per cent of the time in my experience). The drive from Wanaka isn't... More

I've been lucky enough to have skied at a number of ski areas of the North and South Island both club and commercial and I have to say that Treble Cone is definitely one of favourites. Great terrain, plenty of regular snowfalls and it never seems too busy. Brought my wife for her first time skiing in NZ this time... More

Best place to go for a few days of snow. Altitude cafe at the top of the mountain is amazing views and coffee. Snowboarded for 3 days and this place has everything you need for any level of experience and quality rental gear. Snowboard instructor Ott is awesome...

Treble cone's beginner runs are a little more advance then other beginner runs we have been on. But the view from the top is absolutely amazing.

The snow was good and the lines were okay to get into the elevator. However, if you are used to skiing in the Alps in Europe this is nothing compared to that. It has just two elevators and a few slopes. It is fun for a day though!

I rarely if ever feel the need to vent in a review but this place needs some shaking up big time. As the title suggests, we had to park 800 metres or half a mile down a steepish hill from their base station with little in the way of pick-up or transport. That is no fun with a little 2... More

Great view from the mountains. However avoid if you are a beginner as the runs are pretty tough in my opinion. Otherwise it's a good place to ski/snowboard.

We've done most of our skiing in France and Austria and decided to give Treble Cone a try while visiting family in New Zealand. At first glance at the piste map the lack of chairlifts is a surprise -there's only two- compared to the dozens you'd find in most European ski areas. But this didn't prove to be a problem... More

Treble Cone... wow! As per, the views were incredible, so much earth porn going on it's almost ruthless! There were slopes that were suitable for all ages and abilities and the routes were well guided and easy to see where you were going. It seemed as though they respected the fact people were already spending a lot of money for... More

We don't ski, but went to Treble Cone to have a chance to travel up the chair lift. No where else close to Queenstown offer this. It is a shame, as there is a lot of no skiers out there, that would love to have a go on the chair lift. We thank Treble Cone, for giving us this chance.... More

It sounds like you would have had a spectacular day of alpine, mountain, snow, and lake views, first with the Glenorchy Air flight and then the scenic chairlift ride at Treble Cone. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. Nick Noble Treble Cone Ski Area More
