On our holiday we rated this as our favourite ski result over the other three close to Queenstown. The snow was good, and there was a good variety of skiing - with our more adventurous teenage children finding enough additional challenge in some of the trickier routes down. Would certainly recommend it.

One of my favourite places to ski on the South Island, friendly staff and great runs. Lines can get crowded during school holidays but great nonetheless.

I had the beginners ski package which was cheap at $129 for ski hire, 2x 2hr lessons and magic carpet 'lift' passes. Our instructor Antony was really helpful and funny. Would've loved to go on the chair lift but it was good Antony focused on technique and building confidence. Great food and not too overpriced. Easy day of skiing with... More

This was our first visit here and we loved it, there are plenty of trails to try for all abilities, with easy access. The scenery is obviously beautiful. Pizza at café was very good. Would definitely recommend this resort.

My husband and I had never snowboarded or skied before and booked a 3 day beginner board package. Unfortunately the mountain was closed for one of the days and the lovely ladies at the centre in wanaka gave us a refund for one day because of the weather. The lessons we had on the first day were great, Sam was... More

This is a great mountain, with friendly staff that are there to help. If you need a hand with chains they will help you. Lovely wide groomed runs, and not too hard, although if you want hard, there are ertainly parts that wil fit the bill. Captains is great for Gluten Free Pizza too and the GF noodles in the... More

I really loved this mountain! I consider myself an intermediate level snowboarder and this was just the perfect place for a day of riding. There is also plenty of wide space for beginners. Had a lot of fun here and just really enjoyed the mountain. The trails are easy to get to and the layout made sense to me (I... More

We had 2 lessons with the snow school, it was our first time for us snowboarding. With our lessons with Claire (I think that was her name) we went from complete beginners to going on a lift to a proper slope. Claire was so enthusiastic and helpful, gave clear guidance and explained in more than one! Her enthusiasm radiated over!... More

If you're skiing for fun and don't consider yourself 'hardcore' then the 'late rider' package is for you. Pick up is from your hotel at around 0930 which means you can have two extra hours in the morning to chill in bed. The bus is really comfortable and the extra 10 minutes on the bus is worth it; the journey... More
