Tried skiing for the first time at Cardrona and had such an amazing experience. The instructors are true professionals and no matter how uncoordinated you are they can get you feeling confident in no time. On the other end of the spectrum my partner grew up going to the snow and had a fantastic couple of days of challenging skiing... More

Our first trip to NZ snow had our family so impressed . Every aspect of the days skiing- from the report via phone, the maintainence if the road to the resort to the organization on the mountain - everything was amazing. One of our children had the misfortune of having an accident and the team there went over and beyond... More

As a beginner snowboarder, I pop a little mental bottle of champagne every time I find a slope that doesn't strike me with fear and parts of my life flashing in front of my eyes. The day we went up to Cardrona, there was a light layer of fresh powder from the night before which made snowboarding that much easier.... More

My family and I spent a few days skiing at Cardrona recently and I have to say the service we experienced was remarkable. EVERY staff member was very helpful and would take the time necessary to ensure we were all set (whether it be for tickets, lessons, rental, food or overnight storage). This is despite the throngs of people milling... More

We have just returned from four days of skiing at Cardrona. What a great ski field. We were so happy with our Cardrona experience I'm not sure where to start. We enrolled our three children (3 x 8 year olds) in the Skiwees program. All three absolutely loved it, they were taken good care of by their instructors (Lollo &... More

Hi. I don't usually write reviews, but feel that Cardrona needs the feedback and hopefully they will lift their game! We have been skiing with the children for 10 years, in the US and NZ, and have experienced a number of ski schools. This year, we thought we'd try a week at Cardrona - never again. Unfortunately, we felt the... More

Well , we hate to write this because we have been Cardrona aficionados for nearly three decades. And we love many aspects of the place and especially its potential to give families a great experience and to introduce many people to snow sports. However, some comments from our experiences this year: and the new Cardrona management and governance team, we... More

Spent a week skiing at Cardrona. Apparat from two people in the group the remaining 6 were all beginners. The ski schools were fantastic and by the end of the week the children were skiing down Captains. The staff were amazing from the ski hire to the canteen. Used the physio a few times and they too were fantastic. Overall... More
