I certainly didn't expect to find a museum of this calibre near Wellington. I was very impressed by the diversity of the collection - and whatever you do don't forget to go downstairs to see some of the more recent cars (you have probably owned one or two of them!).

The museum is worth visiting even if you aren't a car enthusiast. There is something that will interest everyone - you could be surprised. There are also motorbikes and a plane. The museum has a fantastic theatre on the premises and I have been to several shows there and performed there on one occasion as part of a chamber choir...

This is by far the BEST motor-head museum in ALL of New Zealand...(trust me, I have been to just about all the motor museums)....!! It is slightly outside of Wellington, and worth the drive....!! Amazing collection of cars, motorcycles, and all things motors.

Even if youre not a car or motorbike buff this museum is worth a visit. It is an incredable collection and a labour of love. If you have older friends or relatives they will enjoy it immensly as it is a real trip back to the past but this is a winner for all age groups. Len Southward has left...
