A wonder along the beach; breeze blowing; changing seascape; ships passing; driftwood to explore; a place to stop and ponder; trees to sit under and read a good book - ideal

quiet beach, set a little off the road, but easy access. Close to village and eateries. Nice playground for children and summer pool handy if you not keen on the sea. Can be windy but fresh air! Fish off the pier, hunt for shells and pebbles - brilliant

Along. the coastal road you come to Eastborne. Lovely unspoilt coastal village with a couple of great cafes, a supermarket and other bits and bobs. Totally worth the drive and the visit and would go back again.

Eastbourne Beach is part of what is known as the bays area. We live around the bays and love it. It is like being on holiday every day of the year. The East West Ferry goes across to Days Bay and there is a very regular bus service from Wellington 83, 81, 85 (try and get the 85 or 81... More

a great little Kiwi beach, good waves and a great sheltered beach for swimming. The town has cafes, restaurants, a pub and is a nice little walk around.

A pretty beach that allows for a different view of Wellington. A safe and quiet area perfect for a stroll.

This is the only thing that would stop me returning to Eastbourne. Very stony beach which gets worse in the sea and is dangerous. Plus the seagulls are bigger than eagles that will attack you for food.

Days Bay is a short strand of rough sand, safe for littlies but also deep enough for the better swimmers. Bigger kIds (old and young) love jumping off the ferry wharf. Easily accessible from Wellington by ferry or car or bus. Cafes across the road, changing rooms and toilets on the beach. Eastbourne is a quaint seaside village, beach is... More
