Why Wellington is windy!

Took the bus up there-spectacular view. Glad we didn't try to hike there. Enjoyed the overall panorama of the City-excellent perspective.

In Summer you could come up here and picnic, or even take 30 minutes stroll up (maybe longer going up) or down. Enjoy the 360 views of the wellington region If you rather take it easy, i think the bus 20 Highbury comes up here.

Well worth a visit to get 360 degree panoramic views over Wellington and the surrounding area. Get the bus to the top or if in a rush a taxi.

We chose to walk up to Mount Victoria. It was a long and steep climb, but views were really awarding. You can also take a bus / drive up to Mount Victoria, but for us climbing through forested paths was half of the fun.

Mount Victoria has an amazing view over Wellington. The walking tracks back down into the city are everywhere. It's a mountain bikers dream although a little extreme for me. You can even get a bus to the top.

There are several spots you can move to and have a new view looking down to everything. Worth the drive or walk.

The top of Mount Victoria affords nice views of Wellington and its environs. Plus there are a couple of statues on top.

We had a clear day to view Wellington and the surrounding country from Mount Victoria. Worth the short drive (but glad I wasn't driving the narrow roads).

360 degree views of Wellington. The road to the summit can be a bit tricky to find, There are plenty of walks that can be done up and around Mt Victoria.
