It is so beautiful here. I so enjoyed walking around. Serenity right in the middle of the city. I especially liked the bush and the fact that the garden is incorporated into some of the city walks. Definitely worth a visit.

Very relaxing beautiful sights of the harbor and all of Wellington. Must ride the cable car to the top and walk back to the city. Sometimes you need to stop and smell the roses.

A lovely walk. Lots of different areas. Australian plants, a herb garden, a fantastic rose garden, a Japanese peace area and the enclosed hot house with fantastic flower displays and a pond with lotus flowers. There is a cafe near the rose garden with a varied menu. You can sit outside or in. The area is quite hilly and there... More

Took the Cable Car up from Lambton Quay. Nice ride and then took the well guided walk back to the City through well described parts of the Gardens. There are Refreshment spots along the way- all in all a pleasant way to both observe various species and spend a couple of hours.

And then just wandered through the different parts of the gardens. Not the prettiest time of year for flowers but have been here in spring and summer when it is gorgeous. Great for all ages.

Thoroughly enjoyed strolling through the gardens. Plenty to see, a bit hilly so keep that in mind. Saw lots of fauna that we'd never seen before. Spent a few hours there and enjoyed ourselves. Be sure to check out their greenhouses too.

Very central to the city, lots of great attractions nearby. I particularly enjoyed the ANZAC displays, and the wonderful staff at the cafe in the botanical gardens. Lots of walking, but it was worth it.

A lovely retreat, well maintained. Be sure to visit the House of Begonias. Lots of walking paths but a raincoat is a must. Lovely WW II Japanese exchange memorial.
