Wow. $17.50, $80+ for family, for a walk around a park. Will not recommend. Will not come back. Arrived at one feeding spot, were told they were nesting and not present. Ok fine. So paid full price to see where wildlife weren't. We saw more wildlife at the Botanical Gardens which was free! At the very least it was a... More

This gem was the reason for our staying in Wellington an extra day, as we couldn't get round to see all of the other sights that we had planned, as we stayed in Zealandia all day. The transport arrangements to the site were excellent - free minibus from the I Site- and the visit itself extremely interesting, for a very... More

This place is unbelievable. Take the free, 1.5 hour guided tour. You will see more with the volunteer guide than you could on your own and you'll leave the tour with tips on what to do in the park. Free parking is available, but you can also take the bus directly from downtown or catch the free museum shuttle from... More

This is a great venue close to Wellingtons CBD. Good to take visitors to the city to for a taste of NZ bush life. You can see Tuatara in their natural habitat and hear and see lots of native birds. You can walk through bush and get a feel for the NZ bush scene. Make sure you have 2-3hours to... More

We went on the night tour. I wasn't sure what to expect, but came away completely fascinated with the conservation effort. We saw many birds including 4 kiwi, the glow worms were fantastic, and the eels were cool and creepy. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and gave us an appreciation for the work they are doing. We plan to go... More

I did the day and night tour of Zealandia. I loved the walk through the sanctuary and got to see several rare birds. The night tour is a must if you want to see Kiwis. We were able to see four of them foraging for food near the trails. Overall it was a beautiful experience

If in Wellington this is a must do. Lovely walk through the bush. Saw lots of wildlife, birds, insects and lizards. What they have done with this place is an inspiration to all. Hoping that they achieve everything they have set out to do. Exhibition very good, excellent for both children and adults.

We enjoyed strolling around the open air spaces seeing various birds, some of which would not come out to see us. But all the same the walk was enjoyable

I went on the night tour at Zealandia at the end of my North Island trip this week. What a great experience! The tour is about 3 hours long and even more interesting than I imagined! Allison our guide really knew her stuff! A great way to learn about NZ nocturnal wildlife species as well as support their conservation efforts.... More

Amazing nature reserve, what a feat to do it in Wellington! Very informative exhibits and lovely walks through the native bush that they are trying to restore. They also do important conservation work, so we feel lucky that it's open to the public. We went during the day, so only got to see the birds out in the daytime, like... More
