This is an amazing wildlife sanctuary within 10 mins drive of the city. A diverse array of native birds, reptiles and insects with bush walks in naturally regenerating native bush. There is also a great display of NZ's flora and fauna and it is a great cause. More

Unless you just want to stay in your hotel and be lazy, it´s and expensive and disappointing experience. Otherwise save your money on some good trampoing shoes and get out there yourself. More

We stayed in Wellington an extra day just so that we could see Zealandia. We were NOT disappointed. A lot of the native fauna stayed hidden but that was to be expected. We spent 3 hours there and could have spent more. Next time we are in Wellington Zealandia will be our first port of call. Many thanks for a... More

Well done exhibits - very informative and balanced. The night kiwi treck is absolutely worth the price of admission - the guides are researchers and your admission goes to support the research and preservation of important native New Zealand animals and plants. More

My partner and I went on a night tour on a cold windy night and it was fabulous! The valley was stunning in the night light only by moonlight and with cloud rolling in, you would never think you were so close to the city. We saw kiwi, kaka, tuatara, weta, native ducks, native shags, takahe, not to mention all... More

If you like to walk and love nature, it is a lovely place to visit. Don't expect to see animals running all over like in a zoo but if you like to walk peacefully, have an keen eye for animals going about on their own without being disturbed and peered at this is the place for you. It also has... More
