We had the chance to go and watch the Hurricanes and we were disappointed with their standard of play and their inability to do the basics correctly. The stadium was good, but food and drink was slightly over priced in our opinion. Stadium is very handy for the trains and is not too far from city centre.

What a fantastic stadium! Love the purpose-built, super wide entry walkways (not sure what to call them), that easily cope with thousands of people exiting at the same time. Love the circular facilities underneath the grandstand, and absolutely love being so close to the entertainment with big screens at convenient locations. The Sevens weekend was the best (and biggest) party... More

This is an interesting event venue, once you are in the stadium it is great, the views of the field are brilliant from every perspective. There is a major problem with access to the stadium. Parking is downstairs and you are minutes away from the train station which is excellent however...with the Wellington wind and the often wet weather you... More

Watching footy here means you can always see the game and watching Bon Jovi here with the whole arena of 36,000 people singing along was pure magic, its nicknamed the cake tin because it is round and hallow, it is a great venue, recommended

“Welcome to Wellington. You are now in Saints territory.” I had to do a double take. I was getting off a flight in Wellington, only to have St Kilda captain Nick Riewoldt staring me in the face. The large sign strategically placed to ensure everyone knew that Wellington was excited to play host to St Kilda and their Anzac Day... More

We visited for the first home rugby game of the season. Whilst all the seats in the stadium were available 75% of the food and drink outlets were closed and as we were sitting on the wrong side of the stadium had to walk a long way for food and drink. A bloody disgrace especially as Management have been on... More

Wellington cake tin is a great venue for sports and concerts. All transport is close by and easily accessible. Food is very expensive inside. Views are great. I always enjoy events held at the Cake tin

Great for concerts and sports but never buy food there as way to expensive. It works best for us as out of town people to use the train . We drive from Palmerston North to either Waikanae or Pararparaumu. NZ rail provide an excellent return service to the Westpac Stadium as it stops right at the bottom of the ramp... More

Easy walking distance from CBD, or else shuttle buses are available at a price. The stadium is spacious and the concourse easy to move around in. Good viewing although being on the half-way mark one is a fair distance from the action. I prefer a rectangular field [like Mt Smart].. The food selections were good, the toilets clean and plentiful.... More

Absolutely one of the best experiences of my life! Great location and a nice stadium. Only complaint is the price of beverages which I suppose sadly you find at any sporting event! First time I have tasted beer from a plastic bottle. Right near the train station.
