Right in the center of town, the staff here were helpful. There is a ton of information available about what to do in Wellington and throughout New Zealand. Also, many of the tours start or pick up from here. Start here on your tour.

If you want to know anything about what is going on in Wellington head for the information office . The staff there are most helpful. My friend and I arrived there just after lunch and half an hour later we were booked on a Wellington small bus tour. The next two and a half hours were spent in a cool... More

We were welcomed by local ambassadors as soon as our ship docked in Wellington, as well as outside the i-SITE Visitor Information Center. There hospitality was such a nice touch. Inside the Visitor Center itself, we had our first opportunity to find good print resources to help us on our tour of the South Island.

Went in for information on Weta Cave and public transport to get there. A nice lady actually came over to me while I was looking for leaflets, she went off to get the leaflets I wanted. Told me where to get the bus from and even pointed me towards the door nearest the bus stop.

There were plenty of staff available and they took to time to listen and so they responded with relevant information and not just a set pattern for all those on holiday / in the local area. Indeed we visited on more than one occasion and I can't fault the information/advice given by the very friendly and knowledgable staff.

We booked several tours through the I-SITE and the staff were helpful, friendly and informative. It is well located and has heaps of information, brochures and maps. There are toilet facilities inside and a great shop.

If you don't know your way around a place, Information Centres are always a good source of knowledge. This one is a case in point. Not only did they gave us all information needed, they went to the trouble to print out various schedules for us. Because there are enough people staffing the desks, the wait is not too long.... I met a few staff and they were able to answer all my questions and book tickets for me at no extra cost. I did the walking tour and it was worth the $20 arranged by the centre. Representatives are also located around the city and by the Cable Car top and bottom to answer any questions and help you.... More

We had questions about the location of attractions and bus travel to the airport. The staff member provided clear answers supported with a map and timetables.
