Like the numbered waiting system, gives opportunity to browse till your number comes up rather than standing in a queue. Well appointed souvenir shop. Very helpful and knowledgeable assistant gave clear instructions and information that made our travels much easier.

Oh dear, arrived at yet another I site only to find I'd closed. NZ is probably THE tourist destination of the world but the I Site opening hours are still in the 1950's. I arrived in Wellington around 16:00 and by the time I got to the door it was closed. Come on get real....

Went there a couple of times to find out about the Zoo and Weta activity. Loads of flyers about attractions and activities both in the near area and also further afield in the North Island. Staff were helpful in advice on the appropriate buses to get to take to and from the Zoo - including cost, timeframes and pickup points.... More

It is never a positive sign when you are not greeted as a visitor but as the next number in the queue. We had to pry information from the young lady by repeating the question several times. It was rather shocking as our previous several experiences with i-Ste personnel have been exceptional. Guess not all sites have the same philosophy.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know that we could have done things a whole lot better when you visited us recently. Please let me apologise for your less than pleasant experience, and as you will see from our other reviews this is not typically the type of service we deliver. I'm pleased that your overall experience... More

A good range of brochures if you do not want to seek direct advice. Members of staff are knowledgeable and will make bookings if required.

Can't praise the ladies who helped us enough - Alex and Shoni. They were super. Quick service and totally efficient. They organised absolutely everything for us, going on Interisland ferry, staying at Picton, train to Christchurch and accommodation at Christchurch. Saved a lot of hassle on the computer for me! The only thing they couldn't do was book flights.

A great resource for visitors to Wellington, even if the doorway was a little hard to spot at first - the pavement was closed just past the entrance, but because of the curve of the building, we didn't see the doorway the first time. Doh ! Nice staff, keen to help.

We were picked up for our seal safari from the visitor info centre. There were some good souvenirs, pamphlets and helpful staff :)
