Much larger than other isites, plenty of free driving maps to be found among the brochures. There is a huge fold out map available for free inside the YHA brochure (Youth Hostelling Association). We never once stayed in a YHA but found the map to be comprehensive for our south island journey. More

The Wellington I Site sited in the CIty Council Building is a hive of activity. In addition to providing a numbver of touristy activities and bookings, there is an internet cafe, souvenir shop and cafe (with coffee and food) also on site. The first thing you should do when you arrive in NZ, is to locate an INFORMATION centre and grab yourself the relevant AA booklet for the area you will be travelling to. (FREE, glossy, informative booklet that you just can't so without).Take the accommodation guide as well if you need it! More
