Iconic St James Theatre.

St James Theatre is a great theatre venue for a variety of stage shows. I have been to many shows here including art exhibitions in their many foyer spaces.

I have been for many shows at the st James . You can buy coffee alcohol and a very slim selection of food there . Also icecreams . There are toilets and wheelchair access . Staff were helpful

We saw a wonderful show in this beautiful theatre. However by the time the show finished mine and my husband's backs were aching very badly. The seats are not comfortable. Shame too that the Theatre does not have a booklet with forthcoming shows in. Also the staff allowed a lady in front of me to record the whole show on... More

This old theatre is very grand. Its a great venue for shows. We have recently seen singing in the rain here and it was a wonderful show. The theatre is central to wellingtons night life with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The bus stops immediately outside.

The St James is a beautiful theatre. I've seen many shows there, from Sleeping Beauty On Ice, to illusionists, to comedy shows. Staff are always very helpful and the atmosphere is great :)

I went to see Mamma Mia as a last minute plan while I was on business in Wellington. All the staff were incredibly friendly & hospitable, which is something I find very welcoming when going to an event where there is a lot of waiting to enter & intermissions in a social event, but going alone, it's nice to be... Just seen Mama Mia at this venue - great show! I had seen this a few years ago in Melbourne, and this Wellington production was just as good. The set was fantastic, as was the singing. Well done Welly!

Some great singers, some not. Kids were amazing and the mother abyss was outstanding. She stole the show by far. The backdrops were outstanding and the orchestra deserved big applause.
