A great place to see the power and majesty of nature .. a lovely walk in the forest and the water falls were quite majestic. On the day we were there the water falls and river were an absolute raging torrent.

Only an hour south from Rotorua is the Huka Falls in Taupo. It's free and when there you check out the falls before doing the 2 hour return walk to Spa Park. It's a nice walk along the Waikato River, and when you get the Spa Park there is a free flying fox to use, plus heaps of play equipment... More

You have to see these falls for yourself to understand the power of them. The water flows at such a fast speed, its absolutely beautiful to see. The water is also pristine blue which adds to its beauty. There are a number of viewing points coming from the north into Taupo; keep an eye out for the signs along the... More

The scenery is awesome and the jet is so fast and agile and the drivers are brilliant, but the spins put the cherry on the cake

Huka Falls is worth seeing. The river leading up to the falls is beautiful and when you get to the falls you see the power of water rushing through.

The torrents of water that channel through the cutting are impressive, leading to the deluge at the falls which are surprisingly short. The colours in the sunlight were for ever changing. Spent 15 minutes just gazing. And its FREE!

When in New Zealand, we always head for Taupo. Few km out we turn into Huka Falls for a look. Love the different look outs and the beauty of the scenery. The roar of the water. Always go back for more.

Great spot - powerful waterfall in natural setting. Very close to Taupo itself. Would definitely recommend. Short walk from carpark to see this and other natural walks in the area.
