On our way out of Taupo, we visited Huka Falls to finish off our trip into Taupo. Beautiful, unspoilt and area, plenty of viewing spots for everyone who wants to see 200,000 litres of water crashing down a 9 metre fall. The sound is something to listen to which cannot be described in any video's. Great way to say Goodbye... More

Brilliant place to visit, always go there whenever in Taupo. Especially good in winter when the river is flowing strongly.

Lovely spots where you can be amazed at the sheer power of Mather nature. It is not the height of the water falls that usually is the wonder that you'd expect; it is the amount of water flowing and crashing....

I have been coming to this attraction for a number of years and still do not tire of it. A beautiful majestic and mesmerising force of nature that you can only marvel and wonder at if you see it in it full glory.

This is a natural wonder of the world. to be able to walk so closely to such a powerful natural feature. It cost nothing but your tie and the views are amazing. Take a picnic and enjoy the freedom to sit in the picnic area and then stroll along the short and accessible walkways.

Weather was a bit off but we still had a great time - the views were amazing and we got some great photos. We skipped the jet boat but loved watching it zip up the river.

They had just released water from Lake Taupo so the amount of water coming down the falls was just great.

The Huka Falls is probably one of the most spectacularly stunning waterfall I have ever seen! If you close your eyes, you could nearly feel you are transported to a magic ancient time. The sound of the rushing water energises and I can't wait to be back!
