We were taken there by the owner of our hotel as it is difficult to get to. The ceramic gardens were unusual and attractive. the breakfast was good quality if a little expensive. Enjoyable but I would not put it on a "must do place in Taupo"

Would deffinatley return & will be recommending others to visit. Can't say too much about the cafe as we felt it was a little out of our peices range $9 for eggs on toast,... More

maybe I went with to higher expectations after other high ratings but I wouldn't go out of my way (which we did) to go back . Staff were pleasant, coffee ok, mosiac area quirky but overall nothing special. no views. closed Mondays and Tuesdays

Really struggled to find decent coffee in NZ. This gets great reviews but perhaps we arrived on an off day. It is very busy with what look like locals and people do come to take away coffee. However whats served is undrinkable, wersh (bitter) tasting and I think burnt. Had a nut slice which was tasty but just way too... More

Great fun, plenty to see, food was great, tasty and fresh, plenty of arty things around to keep you interested, and different! We went to this cafe twice on our trip because it was so good.

if you have time to go to Acacia Bay do find L'arte - not open 7 days a week though. The ceramic garden area is great and the cafe well worth checking out too.

The grounds at L'Arte are very well kept and the mosaic designs are very impressive. The cafe was extremely busy when we arrived, the staff were great and kept us informed of timings of meals as it was a busy period, they excelled and delivered! Would go back again. Food and pricing standard.

Love mosaics and ceramics then this is a must see place. The artist has created an outside lounge room of mosaics which is comfortable to use and amazing to see. The small artworks around the site make for an extremely interesting and quirky stroll. It was wonderful to see the gallery where works were further displayed and available for purchase.... More
