Nice wander

The owners are very honest here- it isn't mind blowing but it is a nice gentle walk amongst the steam vents and a nice cafe at the end Well worth $10

Beautiful pools and tranquil surroundings. Now that our youngest is old enough we will put this on our list to do everytime we go north. Allow a couple of hours to relax and enjoy.

Walked along very good boardwalk to both falls - one at the first car park then drive a little further to next one - worth the walk down as sometimes you can see the canoeists flying over the falls!

We did this walk before Moon Craters and enjoyed it much more. They gave us a laser temperature guage to use which was cool. You could get up close and explore and we didn't see another person. It was a bit run down but didn't detract from the experience. Moon Craters was stirile in comparison... boardwalks, signs warning of danger... More

Recently went here with our young child on our way home. When first approaching we thought it looked very run down and the walk was not much better. Not very child friendly unless you choose to carry them or they can walk. We had our baby and just by chance we chose not to bring the pram, which was lucky... More

After visiting Craters of the Moon many, many times over the years, we went looking for an alternative thermal area. Don't be put off by the very grotty cafe or rather strange but friendly gentleman serving and selling the tickets to the walk. The walk starts behind the cafe and is fantastic! Rickety old fences and paths line the walk.... More

Drive down the unsealed road to the end, where you'll find a very basic looking camping ground, and a little bit further on you'll see what looks like a very nice cafe. Well.... we went up to the cafe doors which were closed and a sign saying they would open again at 1pm (time was 12.58pm). Anyway, there were A4... More

The food looked delicious, we had two paninis and they cost $13 EACH - they came with a tiny bit of salad - very expensive!!! K&K. Wellington

The walk was beautiful with lots of lovely natural features like the stream, waterfall and of course - geothermal attractions. Far less commercial than many of the others I have been on, John personally welcomed me and was very helpful with any questions I had. Definitely recommend checking this out!

Save some cash and go to look at the terrace look out above the power station. A drive through the site winds up the hill to a great overlook
